Chapter 4

Sam POV-

The sun shone through the curtain, and I peeked through my closed eyelids. I felt someone underneath me and found it was Caleb. I was cuddled up next to him.

I thought it was a dream until this moment.

 We really had sex last night, and he really made me feel so good that I forgot about my worries, my insecurities, and all I thought about was listening to him.

I never thought about how turned on he made me or how turned on I made him. I feel things about him I didn't think were possible. 

I enjoyed how he made me feel and how extremely submissive I was to him and his needs. I know that he wanted me to enjoy myself fully, and while I did, I hoped he did the same as well.

I got up to shower and heard the sheets rustle.

"Leaving so soon? I thought we had a great time. It doesn't have to be just one night, ya know?" He said, half asleep.

I giggled, "I'm just headed to shower. I don't like to be gross and I won't start now" 

He replied, "Well, if you do that, I'll just put my scent back on you then you'll have to rinse and repeat. I've got all day, princess."

I rolled my eyes, ran the water, and hopped in.

He came right behind me as I felt the shower curtain open and hands snake around my waist. He pulled me close, nuzzled my neck as his scruff tickled me. He inhaled my scent, which mingled with his somehow.

"You smell great."

He bit my neck playfully, and I just giggled. We stayed that way for a bit, but I knew the water would get cold, so I grabbed the soap and washed up and rinsed off.

I got a towel and wrapped it around myself.

I got dressed and went to start breakfast and coffee while Caleb got dressed to work the farm today. I knew he liked to get an early start, but we slept in due to how tired we both were.

As I finished cleaning up, he gave me a peck on the cheek and I told him that Elijah was coming over for lunch. 

"The guy from the supermarket?" He asked with a twang of jealousy in his voice.

I nodded and told him that I liked him enough to invite him over to get to know him.

"I won't be sleeping with him. It's just a friendly get together is all. Don't you trust me?" I asked.

"I trust you, but it's him I don't know or trust." He told me.

He's being protective and it was kind of hot to be honest. I got to getting lunch prepared when Eli pulled up and knocked on the door. I opened it and looked up into his blue eyes, his rugged face and beard. 

"Hey there. I wasn't sure if this was the right address or not." He told me.

"Yeah, it's the right one. It threw me off too when I got here." I replied.

Caleb saw him pull up  and came to greet him.

"I'm Caleb and I'm Sam's boyfriend. My dad owns the farm and I'm just working it until he's back from his trip." He shook his hand, in quite a rough manner, but that's for the boys to figure out.

Eli POV-

Sam walked away so that Caleb and I were left alone.

The way he shook my hand was quite rough and that told me that he didn't like me much.

I somehow threaten him and as much as that made me amused, I didn't want to push my luck.

"Hi, I'm Elijah."

"Yeah, I've heard about you." He said, not interested.

"What have you heard?"

"I've heard that you were handsome, nice blue eyes, great smile, and a nice beard."

"Wow. I do sound handsome." I chuckled.

He didn't laugh.

"I don't like you." He said.

"You don't know me." I countered.

"Well, I don't want to know you."

"Don't you think that you could at least try to get to know me?"

He shook his head and didn't say much else.

He walked away toward the kitchen and I followed him.

Sam POV-

The time for lunch came around. Elijah and Caleb began to set the table while I got the food together.

We sat down and Eli made polite conversation.

"So how long have the two of you been friends?" Eli asked.

"We've been friends since we were in college really. I've come down for a few summers since my family doesn't live far from here." I said.

Caleb didn't say anything.

"We met at a party and since I'm not the partying type, a few friends got me to tag along. I was hanging out with them when Caleb walked up to me and made conversation. We hit it off and instant friends." I told him.

While Eli listened, Caleb just ate his food in silence.

I suppose he was upset with Elijah being here for whatever reason that was.

As they finished eating, I cleaned up everything and Eli left after that while Caleb went back to work.

I got done with the dinner prep and went to find Caleb in the barn, on a haystack on the ground, shirtless and the way his chest gleamed in the sunlight was amazing.

"Did ya enjoy that date with him? The man from the supermarket." His Southern accent came out when he was upset.

"It wasn't a date, far from it really."

"It sounded like a date, pumpkin. Do  you like him?" He asked, his tone was serious.

"I don't really know. I just met him. I think he's nice, sweet and caring, but you're all those things too." I told him, as no lie left my mouth.

He grunted, but gave no other words.

I huffed and left him alone.

He could be so stubborn, hot headed, and just downright over protective. He's just so frustrating sometimes.

I had just got onto the porch when I felt strong arms around me.

"Sam, I'm sorry. I know how I can be and I shouldn't be that way with you, of all people."

I turned in his arms and laid my head on his chest.

"It's just you're so over-protective. You don't give people a chance, especially when it comes to me." I sniffled.

"Baby, don't cry. I know that I can be frustrating, but I'm over-protective with you and only you."

His heartbeat sounded loud in my ears, but I wouldn't ask for a better sound. His hands snaked around me, wrapping around my waist, and went a bit further down.

"Caleb, really?"

He looked at me with those boyish looks of his.

"What? I can't help it if you turn me on." He chuckled.

He still made me laugh and giggle like I was a teenager. I know that I've fallen in love with him and that he's in love with me.

I would do almost anything for him.
