Recap
Fatima decides she can't avoid her parents any longer. After waking up from her nap she and Madam heads over to their house.
Mind you Lady Pat is Madam's estranged aunt. Lady Pat hadn't spoken to her since she fell out with Madea. Madam can't stand her, but she would do anything for Fatima.
They get to the house. Her mom is in the kitchen.
"Hey Tima, what's the matter?" her mom looks at her strangely.
"Where is Dad?" Fatima asked.
Her dad walks into the kitchen. "You're looking for me?"
"Yes, I need to talk to both of you. Can ya'll have a seat.?"
They all sit down on the island.
"What is it, Babygirl?" Pastor Fred asked.
"Well, umm."
"Go ahead T, you got this," said Madam.
Everyone turns around and sees Madam. Pat looks like she saw a ghost.
She stands up from the island. "What is she doing here?"
"Mom, just listen to me," said Fatima trying to get her point across. "Paris and I have called off the wedding."
Next thing you know, Lady Pat faints.
Fatima and Fredrik run to her aide. "Mom, Mom wake up."
"Fatima, wet a rag with cold water." her dad said.
She returns with the rag and wipes her face with it. After a few moments she wakes up and they help her get up.
"Maybe we should talk about this later," said Pastor Fred.
Lady Pat speaks. "No, I'm fine. Just get me some water."
Fatima gets some water and sits next to her mom.
In the meantime, Madam is standing near the door rolling her eyes. This lady is always looking for attention. She thought.
"Mom, did you hear anything I said?"
"Something about the wedding being canceled. This had to be your decision." Lady Pat accused her daughter. "Paris adores you. He would never hurt you like that."
Madam had enough and chimes in. "There you go not listening but trying to control everybody else's life.
"Excuse me, but why are you here, in my home?" asked First Lady.
"I'm here because my cousin asked me to come," said Madam.
"Well, how about you stay over there and mind your own business."
Pastor Fred stops them. "Both of you quiet."
"Look Fatima, I'll wait for you outside. I don't know how you stay here with her bougie ass."
"I am still your aunt!" yells Pat.
"Yeah okay. Says the person who has purposely been out of my life for almost two decades."
The entire room gets quiet.
"T, I'll be outside," said Madam. She leaves.
"Ma, do you always have to do that? If they don't fit your standards, you push them away. "
"Well, Paris was the best thing that could have happened to you." Her mother shouted.
As Fatima walks away, she heard her. She turns around. "Really?"
Fatima goes upstairs to pack an overnight bag.
"I'll be at Madam's." She tells her parents.
"Who's going to tell everyone that there will be no wedding?"
"I'm pretty sure you and Mrs. Johnson can handle it. Love you both."
Pastor responds, "Love you."
Fatima leaves.
Lady Pat's POV
"Can you believe that daughter of yours?" Lady Pat says to Pastor.
"Now Pat, it's her decision. You forget she is grown."
"She doesn't know how to make good decisions though, so I have to help her."
"Pat, cool it. Listen to yourself. I'm going to play golf." Pastor Fred says as he walks out the door.
She calls Mrs. Johnson, Paris' mother.
"Did Paris tell you?"
"Hey, Pat. Tell me what?" asked Mama Johnson.
"Fatima said they canceled the wedding."
"Hold on, let me call you back," said Mama Johnson.
After a few hours, she calls Pat back.
"Pat, I talked to Paris. He said Fatima came over yesterday and broke up with him."
"Did she say why?" asked Pat."That she isn't happy," said Mama Johnson.
Pat said. "She'll come around. Right now, she just has a lot on her mind."
"So, do we need to cancel everything?" she asked.
"Of course not," said Lady Pat. "I told you she while coming to her senses."
