When Elias finally woke once more, it was on his own, not to the sound of voices. He was alone, in a dark room. Nothing and no one was around, just Elias left by his lonesome. Luckily, he didn't feel any bindings around him. Unfortunately though, when he got up to move, his limbs wouldn't work. It was sort of like being numb. Like when your leg falls asleep after sleeping funny and you can't move it. Oh gosh, he really hoped they hadn't paralyzed him. What if they messed up something in his brain when they knocked him out?! Oh no... oh no... oh no- OH GOD
In the midst of Elias's panicking, a tall, blond girl appeared in front of him.
"Kalley?" Elias whispered. This... this wasn't happening."Hey, how ya doing? It's been quite some time since I've seen you last. I've missed you Eli."
The girl grinned KALLEY, grinned. She was here. She was here and okay and AWAKE. Elias felt tears forming in his eyes, and he didn't bother to try and blink them back. He so desperately wanted to get up and hug her, but he still couldn't move. "K-Kalley, please, help me! These people, there after me and I can't move-"
When he spoke, she flinched back as if hurt. "You still haven't learned, brother... Have you? I can't help you. You can only help yourself, like you always do..." She sighed and then clenched her jaw, "You deserve this... Have you even ever thought how I felt, all that time? This is your punishment... For forgetting me, for leaving me, for cursing me. This is what you deserve."
---
Elias woke with a start, heart thumping wildly, and sweat covering his brow.
"Dude, you good?"
A pause... Elias didn't answer, instead closing his eyes once more...
"Wait, he's awake? Should we knock him out again?"
"Nah, we don't wanna damage his brain or anything. Besides, he's all tied up."
So he was tied up.... thats why he still couldn't move...
Elias was dimly aware that his brain felt fuzzy and sluggish. He couldn't bring himself to care though. Not when all his old memories began flashing in his mind.
He and Kalley sneaking cookies while their mother wasn't looking. The two finger painting in the living room, getting red stains all over the white rug. The moment she collapsed right in front of him... Never to wake up again."Man, I don't think he's doing all right."
"Water..." Elias rasped. He needed to calm down. He needed to refresh and re-box up all these memories.
"You... do realize your our prisoner, you cant just make dema-"
"Dude, get the kid some water, its not like we want him to die on us."
Someone sighed, but Elias's eyes were still closed. Footsteps faded and then disappeared, he hoped they were getting him water...
"Look man, its not like I care or anything... But... I mean, are you good? Like, do ya need to talk or something?"
Elias laughed, it was a delirious, strained one, but a laugh nonetheless.
"Are you seriously asking if I want to talk with you? After you kidnap me? After you beat me up and tie me to a chair? Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Lets just have some nice bonding time between kidnapper and prisoner. Heh, yeah, I'm good." Elias scoffed. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with people right now.
The person sighed, and then seemed to walk off. A few minutes later, Elias got his water, gulping it down in seconds. When was the last time he ate something... When was the last time he showered... How long exactly had he been here. It felt like years... He needed to get out. This place was suffocating him, pressuring, pressuring, again and again in his mind. Either way, it was about time he got out of this place. He just hoped he could get out alive.
