Elias was late. Or rather, he was cutting it close. Very, very close. In fact, as soon as Elias sat down the teacher began to teach. They spoke about Greek gods, and all that nonsense. Honestly, Elias had no clue why they had this as a core class. It was truly ridiculous. If anything it should have been an elective, not required. With his ADHD it was hard to focus enough to memorize all the names and dates. Though that was pretty much a struggle in all classes. He didn't take medication, or anything of the like, so it was just that much harder. So hard that it began to put him to sleep. Before he knew it, he was drifting off, mind wandering to far away lands...
When he woke, it was to the ringing of the bell. Jumping up he looked around, horrified. It wasn't like he'd never slept through a class before, but this was only his second day. He had to make a good first impression. Already on thin ice, Elias was likely to be kicked out of this school from only the slightest of missteps. Luckily, the teacher did not seem to be in the classroom. However strange, Elias took this as a gift not to be wasted. He rushed out the room, down the hallways, and right into the boy from before. Bouncing off of him, Elias fell to the ground once more. What was it with Elias running into him? Honestly, at this rate, he was going to get beaten up.
When he looked up, he was proven correct in his analysis, as the boy's seagreen eyes were harsh with anger.
"L-look man, I'm really sorry!" Elias gulped. "Oh would you look at the time, I really ought to get to class..." His words dwindled off softly as the boy hefted Elias up by his armpits.
"Huh, you're like a little... puppy." The boy flushed and looked away. "Wonder how you're so light...? You're obviously on the heavier side in terms of looks" Elias widened his eyes and felt a pang in his heart. What the heck! He wasn't, that is, oh... Elias looked down at his stomach. It was getting a bit chubby, but... "Oh man, I'm so sorry, I didn't- Oh, please don't cry!"
Elias blinked back tears. He was not crying. "I-uhm... I'm just gonna..." The boy set him down, and then ran off in a state of panic.
Elias scrubbed at his eyes, he couldn't believe he had just teared up at that ridiculous statement. It wasn't... Nope, not gonna think about it. Elias just boxed up those feelings and hid them deep inside his mind. No time to deal with that, he had to get to class.
