Its been weeks since M/N got slashed. He was recovering quickly and was on his feet.

Carl had finally reached his breaking point. He knew he needed to have a serious conversation with M/N and get to the bottom of what had happened. It was time for M/N to come clean and tell the truth about everything.

Carl marched down the street with confidence, his determination unwavering, But as he approached the shed where M/N resided, his confidence began to falter. He knew he needed to confront M/N about what had happened, but the thought of it made his stomach churn. With a deep breath, he opened the door and came face to face with M/N's blank stare. Carl's heart sank- he knew this conversation wouldn't be easy.

"Hey? Do you need something?" M/N asked, turning to face Carl. Carl felt his nerves began to fray, but he took a deep breath and held his ground.

"I care about you, M/N," Carl said, his voice faltering slightly. He ignored the look on M/N's face and pressed on. "I think it's time you tell me everything." He paused for a moment, feeling the tension in the air.

"For a moment, Carl thought M/N might dodge the question or refuse to answer, but instead, M/N let out a deep sigh and nodded. He motioned for Carl to sit next to him, and Carl felt a wave of relief wash over him."

"I did promise," M/N said, giving Carl a gentle smile. They sat down next to each other, and M/N took a moment to gather his thoughts.

"Well, I guess it all starts with me and my dad," M/N began, his voice low and hesitant. "It's always just been the two of us, but a while back he met these guys. Total assholes. The guy who attacked me was one of them. They made a plan to attack Hilltop and take everything. My dad wanted me to help." He froze, his eyes unfocused as he stared off into the distance.

Feeling a surge of empathy, Carl reached out and took M/N's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. M/N looked up at him, and Carl gave him a reassuring smile. With Carl's support, M/N took a deep breath and continued.

M/N's voice was heavy with regret as he spoke. "I didn't have a choice," he said, his eyes downcast. "He's the reason I had to leave Alexandria. I'm so sorry, Carl. If I didn't leave, he would have come after you." He cupped Carl's face in his hands, his expression filled with sorrow.

M/N's voice was filled with emotion as he spoke. "I don't know what I would do if he got you," he said, his grip on Carl's face tightening slightly. "That's also why I couldn't say anything. Do you remember when you overheard me talking with that guy outside?"

Carl nodded solemnly, his eyes fixed on M/N's face as he spoke. "I remember," he said quietly. "His name is Brutus. He works for my dad." Carl's expression hardened as he heard the rest of M/N's words. "He's still out there? He opened the cells? M/N, we have to do something." M/N's eyes filled with tears as he collapsed into Carl's embrace. "I'm so sorry," he whispered. "I couldn't let him hurt you."

He held M/N tightly, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of everything. "What about your dad?" he whispered into M/N's ear. "Is he still out there?" His voice was soft and gentle, filled with concern for his friend.

M/N slumped against Carl's chest, his body still shaking with sobs. "Maybe," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know. I tried to get people out during the fight. I didn't want any of this to happen." Carl held him for a few more moments, trying to comfort him as best he could, he waited for M/N to fall asleep before getting up and heading towards his father's house. He knew he had to tell Rick and Michonne everything he had learned.
