It was the week before the Spring Talent Show 2020. The show is basically like a celebrity concert, lights, loud music and most importantly, talent. We lost a lot of talented students, due to them being seniors, but we can somehow manage, we always do. Meghan planned a sleepover for me and Kanade for fun.It always ended with us talking about information on me and Ryan, it was uncomfortable, but I didn't mind.
We were in our pajamas and were sitting on the floor. We placed my phone in the center of our circle and opened a karaoke app. This program just puts on random sing alongs from our playlist and we just sang whatever it plays. We switch it up by doing solos, harmonies, and a series of layering. Somehow the Riff Off from Pitch Perfect came on and we sang our hearts out.
After that, there was a comfortable silence and Kanade went through her bag and pulled out a black buckled box. I smiled and she opened it revealing there different Ear-in monitors, all of them were black, but with different designs.
"So how did you get into singing again?" She asked. I remember telling the reason a while ago, but I decided to let them have their fun. I sighed and spoked up with my heart racing and fight through a blush.
"I was insecure about my voice being displayed in public when I was in like what, seventh grade?" The girls nodded, "well, one day I was upset about getting a bad grade or something, so to clear the stress, I started singing on the roof of the school."
"Come on," Meghan complained, I rolled my eyes and continued.
"When I was singing my heart out, Ryan appeared out of nowhere and said 'I like it when you sing freely, maybe you should do that instead of overthinking it', I've grew loving to sing because of him, then I met you guys the next year." I smiled to end my story.
"Aw, 'because the greatest'," Kanade started singing "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston.
"'Love of all'," Meghan continued.
"'Is happening to me'," I finished in a sweet tone. We giggled at the solos me did for out eighth grade graduation. I sighed, "brings back memories." Kanade closed the box and set it back in her bag.
"So how's the dance coming?" Meghan asked and I shrugged.
"I don't know rehearsal starts tomorrow." They looked to the side and gave up.
"All I have to say is good luck," she admitted. After that, we sang and talked through the night and the dancing journey starts tomorrow.

I woke up to a text from Ryan himself.
Ryan: "Where are you?"
Me: "At Meg's house."
Ryan: "Why are you there?"
Me: "I can't have girl time?"
Ryan: "I'm coming to get you for rehearsal, be there in a few."
Me: "But it's still morning!"
Ryan: "Do you want to look like and idiot on stage?"
I got up from under a blanket and crept to the bathroom, trying not to wake the girls.
Me: "Sweetheart, I'm gonna be dancing, I'll look like an idiot anyway!"
Ryan: "Trust me, you won't."
Me: "Better not, now leave me alone, I gotta make my face look photoshopped ;)"
Ryan: "Oh please, you only wear light mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss, and by the way, Mr. Shay will meet us there."
I smiled and rolled my eyes at the true statement. I set my phone down and finished getting ready.
"He's outside isn't he?" Meghan popped out of nowhere. I flinched at the surprise.
"Hurry hurry," Kanade repeated. I rolled my eyes and finished tying half my hair up. I turned to them for a full view of my outfit.
"How do I look?" I mimicked in my leggings, frilly cropped tank top, hoodie, and Converse. They laughed at me not actually expecting an answer and went their way. I walked to the door with my work out bag, "I'll message you guys when we're done!" I shouted over my shoulder.
