Chapter 29

Everyone prayed for the well being of Rukmini , Arnav and Arjun.

Subhadra is holding her tears back. The kids are unaware of everything. Tara is standing beside Krishna. She suddenly hugged him and started crying. 

Tara : mama shri ! Chacha , karna chacha , Rukmini maa will be fine right ?

Krishna : hope fully ! 

Anmisha looked at advaith who is lost in his thoughts. 

Anmisha : adhi ! 

Advaith turned towards her.

Advaith : them ! 

Tears are brimming from his eyes. 

Anmisha : they will be fine.

She hugged him tightly. 

The doctor who is treating Arjun came outside .

Doctor : He is out of danger. Just a few weeks of rest is needed.

Subhadra : thank you doctor ! 

They went inside to see Arjun. Arjun is sitting silently staring at the wall but his eyes are bloodshot. He is fisting the white covers on the bed.

Subhadra : Arjun ! 

He didn't respond.

She just hugged him and started sobbing. He placed his arm around her.

Mrinalini is sitting silently by clutching her head. She don't know how she is going to face him and how she is supposed to react. She just want to get out if this cruel world along with her husband. 

Doctor : Ma'am. Are you his wife ?

Mrinalini : yes ! 

Doctor : he is fine ! But he should be careful for few months. His complete body have partially healed wounds.

Mrinalini closed her eyes to hold back herself. Tara went and hugged her. She held tara. 

Mrinalini : can i see him ?

Doctor : you can see him after an hour.

Mrinalini : ok !

Krishna didn't respond to anything. When he heard the doctor saying about Arjun he wanted to hear that he is fine and he heard it. Arnav ( karna) is also fine. But his Rukmini. He can't forgive himself for getting her into this situation. He made sure samba will suffer. Clara tied him up in the same room where Rahul is tied up.

Subhadra : I'm glad that you are safe. Let's just get out of this place. Let's have a simple and happy life.

Arjun : we didn't win yet ! I will kill him with my bare hands. He could never get the stone .

Advaith : we forgot about that. Where's the stone ?

Tara : it's with me. It's safe.

Anmisha : ok ! It's better if you keep it with you. Promise me that you will always protect it.

Tara : i will.

Anmisha hugged tara and kissed her forehead.

Arjun : How's rukmini ?

No one responded.

One hour passed. The doctors who are operating Rukmini didn't come out yet. Arjun who is in rage stood up even though he is about to fall down. Advaith and Subhadra supported him to stand. He came outside with their help. Krishna kept his head low as he is unable to look at Arjun. 

Arjun : Is this what you wanted to see Krishna ? Your words are almost coming true !

Krishna didn't respond.

Doctor : Ma'am ! Your husband is shifted to ICU. You can meet him now.

Mrinalini nodded. 

Mrinalini went inside and saw Arnav who is unconscious. She looked at his face without blinking. He looks completely different. His face is covered with bruises and he have outgrown beard. His eyes are covered with dark circles. She noticed his hand which don't have thumb. His upper torso is covered with sheets. She moved them to see his wound. But she screamed as she saw his body. She wounds at every single place. She remembered the video. She covered him. Tara came there. 

Tara : Mrinalini chachi ! Don't cry ! He will be fine.

Mrinalini : If i was little cautious back then , he wouldn't have been like this.

Tara : don't worry Mrinalini chachi. My father will definitely face the consequences. Arjun chacha took an oath saying that he will kill him with bare hands.

Mrinalini : i'll be waiting to see that moment .

Tara's eyes are shining with tears. Even though she hates her father for abandoning them she still have some love for him . After all a father is always a father .

Anmisha : she is badly injured.

Subhadra : she will be fine.

Doctor : ma'am ! 

Subhadra : kriti ! How's she ?

Doctor ( kriti) stood silently,

Doctor ( kriti) : actually !

Krishna stood up and came there.

Doctor (kriti ) : I'm sorry to say this but she is paralysed. The bullet didn't hit her heart but hit her spine.

Krishna closed his eyes and tears started falling from his eyes.

Anmisha : is that permanent ?

Doctor : no ! But we can't expect anything.

Anmisha : ok !

Doctor : I'm really sorry. 

Subhadra : if that is what she have she will end up with that. After all she got such a really great person in her life.

The ghost is sitting in a dark room along with his henchmen.

Mr.sharma : we lost sir ! 

The ghost took his gun and shot few of his henchmen. 

The ghost : why ? Why it happened ? You guys are of no use. You people are trash. I will do it myself.

How's the chapter ? 

It was really tough for me to write this. I actually thought of ending rukmini's character here but my heart said no.
