The phone vibrated across the wooden drawer, almost falling to its doom. I grabbed it quickly and saw it was a text from her. Confused, I replied to her as fast as I could.

When I saw her, I pulled her in for a hug. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I just needed to get out." She gave a weak smile, covered in tiny white lies.
"Well, I'm glad you're okay. We have two hours to kill. Want to go to the pet store?"
