The palace was actually a complex consisting of many palaces, magnificent and exquisite buildings inspired by both western and eastern architecture, as expected of a kingdom located in the middle of the world trade route. The main palace for the king and the queen was decorated with a big dome made of gold. There were several annexes, also called palaces for consorts, princes, and princesses, beautifully designed with gardens of various flowers and guarded tightly to protect the royal women and children. There was also another palace for the heir apparent, smaller than the king's palace and decorated with a blue dome.

The two main palaces were actually quite old and had been there for more than 3 centuries, but judging by their current appearance, it was obvious that the kingdom treasured them and took care of them properly. The other palaces were not as old. Some of them were unknown to Yasil, but he could still recognize the dwelling of royal consorts. The last time he saw it, it was not as big as today. They did not even have a palace for princes and princesses at that time. Back then, daughters of the king were always living with their mother, only left once they got married, while the sons were kicked out of the palace once they reached adulthood, forced to fend for themselves. Only the heir apparent was able to stay in the palace, working alongside the king to govern the kingdom while preparing to inherit the throne. Looking at the new palaces for the king's children, it was obvious the rule had changed since then.

Yasil was in a hurry, so he went straight to the main palace after taking a brief look at the whole complex. Admiring the arts and exploring all the palaces could wait until he saw the king. He had to see the current leader and hear what he had to say about the upcoming war.

The main palace was not just a place for the king and the queen to live. It was also a place for dignitaries and important nobles to gather and discuss the affairs of the kingdom with their king. To the king, it was both his home and office. The throne room was there, so the coronation and knighting ceremony also took place in the main palace. It was truly a big building with many functions. Since he wanted to see the king, Yasil went to the throne room first, but when he arrived there, the throne was empty. The fairy then went to the room where the king usually had a meeting, but nobody was there either. Yasil flew to the king's study, peeking from the window hoping to find him there, but he was not there. Even his bedroom was empty.

At this rate, Yasil had no choice but to go to the gallery room first to see the portrait of the current king. Since the king was not in any of his usual places, Yasil thought that perhaps he was in another room or even in the consort's palace. He did not want to miss him only because he failed to recognize him, so the fairy decided to take a look at the king's picture before searching for him again.

To his surprise, the current king was quite young. All his recent portraits showed a young teen with a crown and badges that belonged to a king. After investigating for a few hours in the palace complex, he figured out that this young king was actually crowned at an even younger age, nine years old. A king at such a young age, basically just a child, Yasil could not imagine how great his burden was, even more so during the time after humans attacked the elves and provoked Krassnia, creating a disaster that would last for decades if not for a fairy's intervention.

"And now, they are expecting war," Yasil mumbled. This young king truly had so much on his plate. He really wanted to meet him as soon as possible to know more about him. He was not the only young king Yasil had met during the time he lived and was conscious on Earth, but he was the first he knew from this era. The fairy could not help but be curious about him.

Yasil waited for two days in the palace until he could see the king. In the meantime, he observed the palace and the people working there, reading their books and documents, and listening to the news and gossip. When he finally had a chance to see the king, Yasil already knew some information about the royal family, including the king.
