Jeslyn sat down next to Bayden and awkwardly was catching glances at him since neither of them were talking, and Jeslyn was blushing due to being this close to what she assumed to be her new crush. "Uh, hi. Im Bayden as you already know. We have a few more minute till class starts, and I want to get to know you better and not just know that your favourite colour is light purple." Bayden spoke."Oh! Of course, what would you like to talk about?" Jeslyn uttered. This was a very awkward moment for Jeslyn, why did Principle Patricia make it seem easy to meet new people? It really wasn't, especially since she just encountered love at first sight with this boy she didn't even know. "Do you like Minecraft?" Bayden asked. "Uhm, yeah... I don't mind it, I prefer roblox since all my friends play it." Jeslyn shared. "I like roblox too, what games do you play?" Bayden queried. "I guess whatever my friends are playing, although I sometimes just play random games I see on YouTube or Tiktok just to see" Jeslyn responded. "Cool, cool. What's your Tiktok? I'll follow you and you can follow me back." Bayden voiced. "Okay sure!" Jeslyn noted. Jeslyn was excited for this year, she hoped Bayden was in more of her classes.
Class finally ended, math was usually easy and fun for Jeslyn but it was about her least favourite subject. Jeslyn walked down the hallway to the cafeteria, but as she was walking, she realised she forgot her lunch money! "OH CRAP!" Jeslyn accidentally said out loud. Everyone started looking at her, Jeslyn flushed with embarrassment and continued walking, maybe Bayden had spare money. And then she saw Bayden walking too. "Bayden, do you have spare lunch money? I forgot mine at home." Jeslyn remarked. "I don't have lunch money either Jeslyn." Bayden answered. "Well, I guess we'll starve together then, I don't know who else to ask for money." Jeslyn exclaimed. "Lol no I'm gonna ask Vincent for money." Bayden commented. "WAIT WHAT? WHO'S VINCENT!!!" Jeslyn hollered. "The principle's husband? You know, he's really nice, maybe he'll let you borrow money if you beat me there. RACE YOU!" Bayden yelled. "HEY! WAIT UP YOU DIDN'T SAY 1 2 3 GO!" Jeslyn screamed back at him. And what'd you know, next minute Bayden and Jeslyn are racing eachother to get lunch money. "HEY! NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS!" Assistant Sally shrekied at Bayden and Jeslyn. They ignored Sally and continued running, untill a teacher found them running and gave them an hour after school detention, which sucked because it was a Friday, weird to have a first day at school at Friday, right? Bayden and Jeslyn then proceeded to have a walking race, speed walking to be exact. "I walk faster than you, just give up already!" Bayden put front. "No, you don't. I'm 5 meters ahead of you, I'm getting that lunch money." Jeslyn retorted back.
Jeslyn ended up getting the lunch money from the Principles husband Vincent, but Jeslyn gave some money to Bayden since she felt guilty. "Be grateful for that 1 dollar idiot, you're lucky I even gave you a cent." Jeslyn muttered. "Uh huh, not because you like me, hmm?" Bayden teased. "WHAT, NO! Idiot!" Jeslyn mentioned blushing like crazy. Luckily Bayden didn't notice Jeslyn being a blushing mess.
After all those boring classes, Jeslyn finally was able to go home. Bayden waved her goodbye and she waved back. Jeslyn felt EXTREMELY lucky to be able to have a friend on her first day, especially since no one wants to be friends with new kids, ESPECIALLY THEIR CRUSH. Jeslyn flopped in her bed and tried to do her tutoring work, but she could only focus on the thought of Bayden, he was so dreamy! "Ughhhh, I'm never gonna get this work done if all I think of is Bayden, he's so handsome 😍😍😍. UGH! Stop being creepy Jeslyn! Yup, I definitely had a crush on him, this isn't normal friend behaviour." Jeslyn murmered to herself. Jeslyn started calling her friends on discord, she wanted to tell them about the DREAMY boy she had met today. She knew this was a bad idea since they be super dramatic about it, not Rachel though, she would just make a ship name. None of her friends answered the call, then she realised that her school went home early for some reason, the others were still at school, which to Jeslyn meant more time to reflect on what happened today, mostly Bayden.
School must've been over for Jeslyn's friends by now, so Jeslyn went back to her desk and called them. Everyone of her friends but Rachel answered, oh no... "Hey Jess, what's up?" Steve quizzed. "Yeah, why'd you call us, you miss us already?" Stick cross-questioned. "Ok, don't go crazy, but I met a crush today and I sit next to him AND I'm already friends with him... " Jeslyn told. "OMG WHAT'S THEIR NAME!!??? " Bali screamed. "CALM DOWN! Okay, his name is Bayden." Jeslyn returned. "Messaging Rachel for a ship name right now." Steve giggled. "NONONONONONONO!" Jeslyn shouted. "SHE SAID JAYDEN LMAO" Stick laughed. "UGH! I KNEW THIS HAPPEN" Jeslyn squeaked. Jeslyn urgently left the call, blushing furiously.

Bayden woke up, and then realised it was the weekend, so he could sleep in. But before Bayden could go back to his beauty sleep, his phone pinged, he raced urgently to get the phone, in hopes in would be Jeslyn. As soon as Jeslyn walked through the door on Friday, Bayden knew it was meant to be, she looked stunning in the crappy school uniform, she somehow made it look beautiful, exquisite even. Bayden checked his phone to see, IT WAS JESLYN! She followed him back on Tiktok so he checked out her videos since he hasn't seen them yet. She looked amazing in every video he watched, he also saw she has a pretty cool friend group. Their names were Rachel, Steve, Bali and blank. He knew Rachel so now he has a way to get closer to Jeslyn, through Rachel! He texted Rachel.

Bayden searched her up and friended her, hopefully she accepted and knew it was him. He went back to his beauty sleep.
