3rd person POV:

Mr. Roman Jackman or better known as Rome. Rome was the nigga everyone in the city knew, from his help with the community to him beating a nigga for playing with his money and integrity.

He seemed like a sweetheart to the old ladies in the neighborhoods helping them carry their groceries in the house or taking walks with in them in the park. But that was in the daytime, it was like he was switching from Roman to Rome as soon as it was night time.

Rome had a trap deep into the hood, he had a few corner boys here and there. Some young and some a little old. He liked to stay out the way, so when someone fucked up making him come out of hiding it pissed him off.

He also had a barbershop as a cover up at first, but he ended up liked cutting hair. It was like an escape route for him from all the crazy trap business. He really had two real friends being Jay and Junebug. If he wasn't talking to them then he was handling business or taking care of his family.

Rome being the oldest out of three, having two little brothers . He kept them away from his business as much as he could . They had problems growing up, from their mom dying and their dad going to jail and their big brother going away for some time.

It was hard to tell two five year olds that big brother was going away too, so they had to stay with grandma and grandpa.

Rome remembered the day he was sent away, his father had came home stupidly drunk arguing with his wife about needing some money that wasn't even his. Rome had noticed his parents arguing more than usual, and it was always about the same thing.

His father had a gambling problem and refused to get help, no matter how much everyone told him to. He didn't think he had a problem to begin with, he thought everyone should just mind their own business and leave him alone.

Thirteen year old Rome sat in his sibling's room putting them to bed but still listening to his parents arguing downstairs.

Since the twins were young he simply told them, "mommy and daddy will work it out". But he was wrong this time, he had a bad feeling in his gut telling him everything was not fine.

Turning on the cartoons from the tv in their room making sure it was loud enough that the twins couldn't hear the argument anymore before walking out of the room.

Now Rome wasn't a small child he was 5'6 and 140 pounds just at thirteen . He loved sports so he occasionally worked out at school and in his backyard. A feeling had crept up his spine making him feel uncomfortable.

Snapping out of the trance he heard his mom tell his father to back up and to stop. Hearing this made Rome speed down the steps willing to protect his mother.
