Four hearts danced to the ancient rhythm of love in two different places, two of those already rhyming to their self made tune. The other two was just one heart waiting for the other to recognize his relentless beating music. Emmett sat beside Jane in the sand, they'd driven to the next town to watch the sun set on the beach. He noticed she was more quiet than usual, not wanting to intrude in her personal thoughts he just waited with her.

"This is the most beautiful thing I've seen since moving here, well the second beautiful." The wind blew her hair into her face, Emmett dug his fingers into the sand to restrain himself from reaching out.

"What's the first thing standing at the top? I won't be offended if you said it was you."

Jane put her hair in a tight bun, her brows creased then smoothened out. "I almost missed your sarcasm, no I wasn't talking about me. It's this cat I recently saved, his name's Avalon. He is hands down the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

Not correcting her for mistaking his words, Emmett kept his flattery to himself. "You don't look like a cat person, no offense."

"Yea, I didn't know I was a cat person either, not till I met him. Unfortunately he wasn't a stray cat and we had to find his owners. I mean I never did any real search for them, I thought they'd forget about him or something." Jane wrote gibberish in the sand.

"If he's as beautiful as you say, I doubt his owners didn't know that." Emmett stood up, dusting the sand off his jeans. "We need to get back, I don't want to take your aunt up on her threat."

"She's a real teddy bear." Jane let him pull her up, "The person you should be worried about is my mom, now she, is a nuclear bomb."

Emmett gulped, increasing his stride. "More reason why I need to get you back to your tower before your mother sends out a search party for me."

"Tower? I am no Rapunzel." Jane shook as much sand off her as she could before getting into the passengers side, Emmett was already buckled in and ready to go.

Emmett hummed glancing at Jane before putting the gear in reverse. "Could have fooled me with that hair."

Jane wrinkled her brows, shook her head and pulled out her phone inevitably shutting Emmett out. Emmett sighed grasping desperately through his brain for a conversation starter but came up short; apparently watching videos on YouTube on how to woo a girl wasn't easily implemented in real life. In real life he was constantly competing and losing against twitter.

"What are you doing here?" Samantha avoided Fabian accessing eyes.

"You had me worried, I did the most logical thing and came to you." Fabian placed the flowers beside her, choosing to kneel in front of her. "What's wrong Sam? Did I do something wrong? Tell me what's bothering you please."

"I needed some space to think about something and you." Shivering from the feel of his hand on her thighs, Samantha struggled not to wrap her hands around him. "I haven't seen Novel in like forever, it felt like the natural thing to come here for a while to clear my head."

"Is something bothering you? We can always talk through it. I'm not going anywhere, I promised to commit to you and that's not going to change any time soon." Moved by the sincerity of his words, Samantha burst into tears. Fabian froze for a few seconds before turning into a stuttering mess, "I-I am so sorry. W-hat did I do baby?"

"It's not you." Samantha wiped her face. "It's just hormones, I'm starting to hate it."

"Oh your time of the month?" Samantha nodded hating the fact that she'd just lied to him but the fear of the unknown was winning the battle. "Do you want me to get you that ice-cream you like?" Samantha nodded again. "I'm lodged in one of the hotels in town for however long you need, I'll be here until you want me gone."
