"She knows."
"Huh?" Faridah looked up at Gena who was standing beside her chair. "Who knows what?"
"Novel." Gena grounded out, "She knows Amelia and I are together."
"Well isn't that a good thing?" Faridah raised a brow. "At least now you don't have to do a lot of explanation and besides you and Amelia aren't together."
"Novel is new to this, how do I explain that I am not dating the woman I'm sleeping with and I also had sex with her at the club."
"You did what?!" Faridah's voice rose a notch, "What the hell Gena?"
"I know." Gena covered her face with her hands. "She walked into the red room and I couldn't think properly anymore."
"So this is a rerun of fifty shades of grey only gay." Faridah giggled. "You're in deep shit, Amelia will definitely understand if you decide to call it off but you'll need a miracle to win Novel back."
"You should have seen her face when she left with that twat." Gena grumbled. "I hurt her Fari, I want to make it right but I'm scared she'll-"
"Reject you?"
Gena nodded dejectedly. "I'm scared she won't want anything to do with me anymore. I feel like I royally screwed up this time."
"I have never seen you lose sleep over a woman or care too much about how they felt. I'll be honest with you here my friend, Novel won't appreciate a half assed explanation, if you're not ready to go all in with her, it's better if you carry on as an asshole and pretend like this night never happened."
"This sounds crazy. I can't do that to her, she'll hate me forever." Gena hissed. "You're making it worse Fari, I think it'd be best if I went to see her tomorrow."
"And tell her what exactly?" Faridah hid a smile, "I never thought I'd see the day you'd fall in love, this is a scary sight."
"I'm not in love Fari, I like her, that's all."
"Uh-huh." Faridah nodded with a sly smile. "Well you can go see her tomorrow or take baby steps by calling her first."
"I don't have her number."
"That's brutal Gena, even for you." Faridah tsked. "How can you be in love with someone, have sex with her in a club yet not have her number?"
"For the last time I am not in love and now that I've heard you say it, maybe it wasn't such a great idea to have sex in the club." Gena sighed. "I feel like a douchebag."
"Baby steps out the window then, no number so direct approach is the next step, you can go to her house tomorrow. Do not be cliche and do not buy her flowers, go in naked."
"Naked?" Gena frowned. "She'll call the police and I'll be termed a pedophile if God forbid her daughter saw my goods."
"Naked! As in transparent you hyper sexual woman, you need to be honest with her about how you feel and explain the dynamics of your relationship with Amelia." Faridah squeezed her hand. "Are you fine with giving up Amelia?"
"We can remain friends but I want Novel to like me." Gena rested her back on the wall. "She invited me and Amelia to lunch with her and her wannabe girlfriend, I swear I hate her."
"Regan is a sweetheart. I mean she wasn't fucking anyone in the club."
"Fari!" Gena punched her shoulder. "Dana always knows what to say and how to cheer me up, you on the other hand can't even fill in as backup."
"I've advised you to the best of my capabilities and unfortunately Dana is unavailable so take me or leave me." Faridah batted her eyelashes. "That is one problem for tomorrow, you have another coming this way."
