Inseparable. They've been inseparable for as long as anyone could remember. Hisoka & Ni-Ki were a pair that seemed like more to others, but they knew who they were. They are best friends. Nothing more. Nothing less.
"聞いたことありますか？ みんな付き合ってると思って。" (Have you heard ? Everyone thinks we're dating.) Hisoka laughed this off for this assumption was completely absurd. Ni-Ki dating her ? That would never happen. Ni-Ki sighed as he sat across from her. Scowling he continued as she laughed, "I am glad you seem to find this amusing."
Hisoka smiled as she opened a snack she planned to share with him. "Do you honestly care, Ni-Ki ? I don't think what they think matters at all." Ni-Ki nodded as he agreed with her. They were perfectly fine as they were, but this didn't mean that he wasn't bother by people speculating about them.
"I agree with you, Hisoka. But are you not bothered ? People are speculating on something that should be none of their concern..." She smiled as she moved to sit closer to Ni-Ki on the other side of where she previously sat. This clearly was upsetting him. The last think she wanted was to dismiss how he felt. "We know who were are, Ni-Ki. The only people who can change that is us. Understand ?"
Ni-Ki simply nodded as he rested his head on her shoulder. Maybe he was worrying himself for nothing. "ヒソカさん、いつも理解してくれてありがとうございます。 あなたはいつも私が聞くべき正確なことを知っています···" (Thank you for always understanding me, Hisoka. You always know the exact thing I needed to hear...)
They carried on like usual. It wasn't like skinship is not a common practice between all kinds of relationships. Ni-Ki had most likely been stressing himself out over something that was so trivial. Hisoka watched over him as she noticed Ni-Ki had slowly drifted asleep where he laid on her shoulder.
Love. You can love your friends without the pressure of those who speculate around you. You know the other person well & they know you. Things are perfect they way they are at the moment. Why worry about your perception of others ?
