The East Blue is commonly known as the weakest of all the seas. Pirates who are considered great and threatening in this sea are regarded as low rate compared to pirates from the other seas and especially in the Grand Line. Ironically, despite its poor fame, the East Blue was the birthplace of the most famous and powerful pirate of all time. Coincidentally, our protagonist had his upbringing there.
His name is Y/N L/N, also known as "Son of the Sea."
He is a young man in the adolescence, his hair contains a dark shade of blue-magenta and eyes that of sea water at night. It is said that he would always carry an axe with him, one which he personally named "Leviathan". That is quite understandable, as the blade part of the axe was made from Sea Prism Stone. Leviathan was a gift passed down from generation to generation, his lineage obviously being consisted of marines. The previous holder of the axe was his father - a fairly known Vice Admiral. He unfortunately had to retire due to a fatal accident turning him paraplegic.
What Y/N lacks in a Devil Fruits' ability, he makes up for in his indomitable Haki. Y/N harnesses all 3 types of Haki and has the potential to achieve the advanced versions of them. But he has yet to realize his dormant power.
(As a result, only Observation Haki and Armament Haki are utilized in the early chapters.)
Although his (currently undiscovered) "Color of the Supreme King" is indubitably intimidating, he seems to be slightly awkward in social situations. Kings must have some sort of subterfuge or charisma, but we suppose he's simply a leader who works behind the scenes.
Some have ambitious dreams like finding the One Piece while others prefer starting a small family and settle down peacefully. As for Y/N, he always believe there was something more about Haki.
"It can't just be only an individual's willpower!"
"Who first discovered Haki? If it sort of works against Devil Fruit users, does it have anything to do with Mother Nature's hatred for the diabolical fruits?" Questions similar to those rummaged through his head, staying forever unanswered as he grew up.
But perhaps, the forbidden Void Century can finally crack his mind puzzles. Nearly everything special was included in that 100-year span, right? Ancient Weapons, lost countries, et cetera...
Therefore, he plans to embark on a journey both to grow stronger and find the true purpose of Haki on his 19th birthday.
Notes:
- Y/N's departure took place a year before Luffy's. Some of the events will be non-canon but others might be a work-around so that the official plot still happens.
- Quotation marks represent dialogues, italic words are thoughts and underscores are annotations.
+ However, if italic is used inside a dialogue, it emphasizes on whatever word was italic.
- The story is still in development, so some previous ideas and stories may be changed slightly. Thank you for understanding.
