May the muses whisper in my ear
Songs with melodies void of fear
Something to dance in a gloomy night
Or to let tears fall by the candlelightMay the papers bleed 'stead of skin
Immortalize the flesh of every lost kin
Remind the dark hearts their purest days
Applaud the lost ones for their brightest raysIsn't it delicate, the magic of words?
The keys they give to enchanting worlds
Lands of cotton or littered with thorns
Air so gentle or with bellowing hornsSo the dreamer wished to write
Yield the keys, rid of fright
Embrace the scarred and scared, then show
Beaming promises of their tomorrow-when the dreamer writes a poem 03/17/22
