Regular show POV

"I still don't see why I have to go to this wedding." Benson grumbled, skips sighed, irritated with Benson. "Listen, you can go back if you want but you'll have to face the disappointed and angry punch ill give you when I get back." Benson stared at skips, his eyes wide with fear. "I'll be quiet." "Good."

"Oh Benson I think it'll be a joyous occasion! A wedding is a lovely thing!" Pops clapped from the back seat of the golf cart, excited to be going out to a party. "So we're meeting them at a diner, for what?" Benson rolled his eyes, he couldn't do this, not now. He still couldn't deal with this. The guy he l-loved was getting married to someone else. Because he was an idiot and let him get away.

"To discuss the wedding plans, where we should be and what time, you know. And I don't want to hear you complaining when we get there. "

"Of course not, I'm not a child." Benson rolled his eyes. "Oh really? Cuz sometimes you sure act like one." Skips pulled up to a familiar street, Benson almost choked, it was the diner where he and Mordecai first kissed.

He suddenly felt extremely nervous, more so. They walked in, Pops found the table where Mordecai, Rigby and the rest of the gang was. Benson saw a raven feathered crow next to Mordecai, laughing and his arm was wrapped around his waist. Jealousy flared up into Benson's cheeks, his face tinted pink. Mordecai noticed them and a look of surprise was on his face.

He waved them over reluctantly, he didn't think Benson would actually come, if he did he would've picked a different place to meet. "Hey Skips, Pops," Danny greeted. "And Benson right? I'm Danny." Danny smiled brightly, but his hold on Mordecai's waist tightened, territorially. He loved Mordecai and he didn't want Benson to pull any funny business.

"Yeah, hi." Benson sat, shaking Danny's hand over the table. Mordecai blushed, clearing his throat. "S-So Benson, how have you been? I haven't heard from you in years." Benson put on a smile. "Ah You know, I've been really busy, I barely have any time to relax anymore. I'm well thanks." The awkward tension was thick. Mitch burped, excusing himself, but Mordecai was grateful, it was good comic relief.

"We haven't ordered yet so here's some menus." Danny handed the newcomers the booklets, he wanted to trust that Benson was over Mordecai, but he couldn't push his jealousy down. So he tried his best to smile and be nice. "So baby, now that everyone's here you wanna start this meeting?" Danny forced a smile. Mordecai put his arm around Danny's hip, reassuringly.

He could tell that Danny was upset, he wanted to comfort him. "Yeah, yeah. Ok so when the wedding starts at 3, so we should all try to get there at noon. This is normal wedding process, it will be held at a banquet hall not far from here. I have all your room keys here for you, so tomorrow is the practice run and Tuesdays the real deal. On Monday the session will be at 2, and then it shouldn't go on for long-."

Benson fidgeted, he couldn't help but feel threatened by Danny, although he wasn't looking at him, he could feel him glaring daggers. A waitress came up and they ordered, Mordecai continued with his plans. Mitch talked about how he was planning his and Starla's 7 year anniversary and Rigby said he had a big stunt gig coming up for a movie.

Afterwards they finished eating and Danny passed out the room keys, glued to Mordecai'a side, Mordecai would have to talk with Danny about relaxing.

They piled out except for Benson and Mordecai, as unwilling as Danny was he had gotten a call from work and would be right back. "So, Mordecai, getting married? That's a big step." Mordecai nodded, twiddling his fingers. "Yeah well, this just feels right, you know?" "How long did you say you knew this guy?" Mordecai frowned. "9 years, why?"

"It's just, marriage is a really important decision. You sure you want to go through with this?" Benson asked, lamely trying to see if he could coax The blue jay out of his nuptials. " Yes, of course I'm sure. Benson I love Danny, I want to be with him for as long as I can!" Mordecai sighed, sitting back in his chair. "We'll because I was wondering if, maybe, we could try again."

Mordecai's eyes widened. "What?" He asked quietly. "We'll it's just-" "Benson! Do you know how long I-I waited for you?!! 3 years! I was so depressed! And then Danny asked me out! And do you know what?! The night we spent together, he asked me if I would leave!" Mordecai barked. "Do you know what it's like to wake up every morning, making sure that Danny's still there, and not gone?!!

That he didn't decide one day to just up and leave me, alone, I-I still have that horrible nagging feeling every morning when I wake up! I can't trust my own fiancé because of what you did! And you want to get back together!? No just No! Benson I'm sick of it! I'm sick of your $#%6! You don't talk to me for a decade! And then you decide to suddenly come 3 days before my wedding to ask that?" Mordecai's eyes were filled with tear, his muscles tense and his face red.

"No! No I will never ever be with you again!" Mordecai cried, running out of the diner towards the hotel. Benson flinched, knowing that he had messed up bad. Mordecai ran to his car, Danny was just coming back from the hotel when he saw him. "What's the matter Mordecai?" He grabbed Mordecai's arm back, pulling him into a hug. He cried into his shoulder, gripping onto Danny's shirt.

"Baby? What's the matter? Baby? Don't cry, tell me what happened." Danny cradled the crying Blue Jay in his arms. "I, Benson, hah he had the gall to ask, hic, if he could get back together with me! Danny, I want to go back home." Benson walked out of the Diner, figuring he should go to his hotel room. He felt horrible, making Mordecai cry.

Danny led Mordecai into the car, taking him back to the apartment. He pulled the car up to Benson. "I want to have a little talk with you later. Benson." Danny stared hard and cold into Benson's eyes, making him feel worse, his steely gaze was like a gun being pointed at him. Benson nodded, Danny drove away down the street toward their home.

When they got back to the apartment Danny sat Mordecai down on their bed and held him, stroking his head and cooing soft nothing's in his ear. "It's ok baby, it's ok." Mordecai sniffed, wishing he could just stay in the house with Danny. He lifted up his head and kissed the crow, they stayed like that for awhile. Until it became even more intimate and sweet. The kisses got feverish and quick, hands grasping for anything, trying not to float away in their love induced high.
