Hiatus over!!

Regular POV

Danny yawned, slipping out of bed so he wouldn't wake his sleeping lover. He jumped into the shower and contemplated what he was going to do to Benson. He had sent his Fiancé into a downward spiral of emotion, he just wanted to beat the tar out of the gumball machine, but his reasoning side told him otherwise. He needed to talk with Benson, he needed answers.

He quickly dried himself off and went to check up on Mordecai, who was still sleeping. He smiled, kissing the top of his feathered head, he looked so peaceful and serene. Danny carefully walked to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for himself and the blue jay. He wrote a note as he ate, so Mordecai knew where he was. He knew about Mordecai's unease when he woke up and he didn't want to scare him.

After eating quickly and leaving the note he slipped out, intent on talking to Benson.

He took his car and drove to the hotel, ready to fight. When he got there he pounded on the Gumball machine's door, said man opened it, going pale as he did. "Uh h-hi Danny." "May I come in?" Danny asked rigidly, his eyes drilling into his, he was going for intimidation.

"I'm sure you know why I'm here." Danny crossed his arms, sitting down at the table across from Benson. "I-I do, and let me just say-" "No. Let me tell you something first. How the hell do you think you can just do something like that to Mordecai? And when I'm here no less, now before you say anything just answer me this, what was going through your mind when you asked him what you did?" Danny's words were cold and irritated.

"N-Nothing really, that's just it! I had no intention of coming to this wedding for exactly this reason! That I'd say something stupid and ruin everything! But Skips forced me to come! Even though he knew I'd do something like this!" The Gumball machine quickly defended himself, meaning exactly what he said. "Well your stupid comment sent Mordecai into sobbing hysteria." He was careful not to mention their night of total love and intimacy due to his moronic words.

"I want to know if you can control your idiotic mouth for this wedding or if I should persuade Mordecai to just let you leave?" He offered, hoping it would be the latter. "Uh, I don't know, I really don't." Danny rolled his eyes. "So, what was your relationship with Mordecai?" Danny asked, curious.

"Uh we had a one night stand, And he had romantic feelings for me but I broke it off after that."

Benson squirmed in his seat. "And now? You do have feelings for him?" Danny countered, angry with this man for being so confusing. "Um I guess so yeah, yeah I do. I won't do anything to upset him this time." He said a little more confidently. Danny frowned. "Well I'm marrying him and you need to control yourself now, you had your chance and you blew it, don't ruin our chance at a happy life. "

With that Danny got up, and walked out the door. "Oh and Benson? Pull a stunt like that again and i'll rip your face off." He slammed the door leaving a confused and frightened Benson to sit at the table and contemplate what to do.

On one hand he could go to the wedding reception and day, risking saying something dumb and getting his face kicked in or he could go and risk getting his face punched in. His options weren't fairing well.

Mordecai's POV

I yawned,rolling over to the other side of the bed. I froze immediately, snapping my eyes open and looking around. Where was Danny? My heart picked up speed, jumping out of bed. My anxiety took hold, what if he had left? Left me alone before the alter?? I shook my head, trying to calm myself and throw out all my irrational thoughts. I walked out to the kitchen table, where breakfast was laid out and a note was left.

I sat down and read, Danny went out to talk to Benson, as my chest slowed down I worried about if Danny was going to beat Benson. Shaking my head I ate breakfast, touched that even while Daniel was mad he went and made me food. It was coffee, eggs and toast just the way I like it. I was going to give him a kiss when he got home, after I asked about Benson of course.

That rotten park manager, how could he ask me something like that? I practically had a meltdown! I didn't think He could affect me that much.

As I sat stewing in my own anger I didn't hear the door open. So it jolted me out of my skin when Danny hugged me from behind, kissing my cheek. "Gah! D-Danny you scared me!" I laughed nervously, turning around and kissing him back warmly.

"Sorry, I'm home baby, did you like breakfast?" He sat beside me, kissing me again. "I did, thank you. So what happened with Benson?" "Ah he said he'd stay for the wedding and wouldn't do anything else to upset you." I sipped my coffee, nodding not expecting anything else. "That's good, so I'm going to get ready for today, ill be out in awhile." He kissed me once more before I got up, putting my dishes away and heading to the shower.
