A Scary Path

On a dark and stormy night
The wind howled through the trees
As I ventured down a scary path
Where no one else would dare to be

The moonlight shone through the fog
Illuminating the trees ahead
And I felt a chill run down my spine
As I felt a deep dread

The path seemed to stretch on forever
And I felt so very alone
The darkness was all around me
Without a single glimmer of a light to be shown

The trees seemed to whisper secrets
And I heard strange creaks and moans
My heart raced faster and faster
As I feared I was walking right into my doom

The path never seemed to end
And I feared I would never escape
But I kept going forward
Though I was so filled with fear and dread and ache

At last, I saw the light
And I felt my heart swell with peace
I had made it through the path
And I was filled with joy and relief
