Tashannae's pov

I was watching cocomelon the whole time until my phone was ringing.

I took it up looked at the caller id and it was an unknown number I answered.

"Hello",I said

"Hey",the person said.

Who's this?",i asked.

"Such man weh yuh gi yuh numba earlier."the person said and I remembered who it is.

"Oh,hi.",I said.

"Yaaah do?", He said.

"Nun just a get ready fi bed hbu?" ,I said because I was about to go to bed.

"A go ina mi house but ok just did waaa hear yuh voice anyways good night.",he said causing me to blush

"Ok good night.",I said .

End of call.

After getting off the call I was blushing at the thought of him saying he just wanted to hear my voice then my mom drawed me out of my thoughts by binging up this prom fuckry.
I wasn't planning on going because I didn't have any money to buy any prom dress and neither was I gonna spend my lil dollar that I have to buy one little dress so I decided to not go and my mom keeps bothering me it was so annoying.

"Tashy, mi find one dress fi yuh.",she said bursting through my room door.

"Mommmm, mi nah go so it nuh mek nuh sense and I can't wear that.",I said screwing up my face at the picture on her phone.

The dress she was showing me was light pink and had some black and white and yellow spots on it it was tall and look like some granny dress.

"Mommy keep yuh money mi go prom ina primary and high school already do mi can skull dis one don't make it so personal",I said to her.

She walked off without saying anything and I sigh I knew she felt like she failed as a mother but she didn't she has given me and shown me the love as a mother so she didn't fail.

After putting my phone on the charger and shutting off the light I went in bed and thought I would go to sleep but this prom thing bothers me.
I felt kinda sad I wouldn't be going.

I  was awake due to a noise.

So annoying. I said to myself

I heard my room door pulled and I didn't look I just stayed in the same position i am in then I heard kia telling me to get up.

"Gurl get up a 2:15pm now memba yuh have a date.",kia said.

I told her and Dava that I had a date with romaine last night so they were here to get me ready.

"Gurl get yuh rasss up and mind mi affi throw hot wata pon yuh",Dava said and a one thing when she say summnn she mean it and she nah bun mi todeh so mi jump up outta the bed.

"Alrite mi up wah now?", I said looking at them annoyed.

"Yuh have 4½ hour fi get ready fi yuh date mam suh wah yuh mean by wah now.",kia said sitting on my bed.

I sighed at the fact that I had a date with romaine.
so I got up went to the bathroom did my routine then take a shower came out and straight to the kitchen cause mi did hungry yf so mi nuh badda put on nuh clothes mi just gaah the kitchen and mix a bowl a cereal and milk and head back to my room to see kia and Dava laughing about what I don't know.
After I finish eating I placed the bowl in the kitchen then kia and I started looking for clothes but I checked my phone to see the time and it was 3:30pm.
