"yuh know mi mother ago question mi how I got all these right? I meannn you didn't have to Jay I would have went to work and get paid",I said.

Jay and I left the house earlier and did some stuff then went to the supermarket and we have been there for over an hour

Suppose yuh see how the rassclatt trolly full till him waaaa go fi one more and pack.

"how much money yuh get as yuh pay?", he asked still not looking up from his phone.

"uhmmm well my ex boss who u fired she normally shorten my pay for some reason but it's actually 30 sometimes she shorten it to 20 talking about how I come work late and make up excuses.", I said.

"anywaysss pack a bag and dress up wear heels, mi a carry yuh outt", he said.

"uhmmmmmm........ Okkkkk sooo we haven't said anything abt last night Jay....", I said waiting to see his reaction.

He walked up to me looking in my eyes.

"das why mi a carry yuh out B go get ready mi a come back fi yuh.", he said kissing my forehead.

"huh?",I said confused cause a couldn't love you him just seh.

Well I'm from the Victoria jubilee hospital and I'm sorry to inform you that your mom got into a car accident and is in critical condition also she is in a coma but overall she is OK., the person on the line said.

From the moment she said mom my whole world trumbled down.......

"uhmmm which ward ill be there in a few minutes", I said to the woman on the phone while wiping my tears and running upstairs for my bag and slippers.

soon after I finished I closed up the house deeven care wah waah leff rn mi just waaa know mi madda good.

It took me hours to get a damn taxi so as every jamaican people does dem go inna trunk and that's what I did in order to reach the hospital.

After a whole year of ride I finally reached payed the driver got my mask and went in the hospital.

After stating my mom's name and every other details and filling out forms I was finally able to see her.

my moms lifeless body lied there with strings attached to her body and oxygen mask over her face and a little scrape over her face and hand her right foot was covered in a cast (weh dem put pon bruck foot).

I didn't know what to say..... She was the only person I had left how could she be here right now...........little after a tall young dark skin man walked in.

Doctor I suppose.

"Hello there I'm doctor Campbell and your mom is that right?", he said and asked and I nod wiping my tears.

"okk well I assume your mom was bought her an hour ago before you were called and I have good news and bad news.....which one would you like to hear first?" he asked.

"go ahead wit good.", I said.

"OK so based on her condition she's is doing good there wasn't any external damage in her foot back or any where which is good and bad news is she is in a coma condition and we are not sure how long it's gonna take for her to wake nor if she doesn't wake like ina week or so we can't keep her here. ", he said in a straight form accent.

" so that's it and I'll take my leave", he said leaving the room and I nod.

"Nutten neva hurt mi like thiss yettt" I said dropping my bag on the ground breaking down into tears.
