"I heard it's the big day tomorrow" Katie said as we walked out for training
" mhm" I said clearly nervous
" hey don't be nervous, you know you two have the support of the team right?" Katie said putting her arm over my shoulder
" I know but what if it's too much for both of us" I looked at Katie
" You two are a team, you work together and work past everything that gets in your way. I and the team don't doubt that you'll give this kid the best life it possible can have" Katie said kissing my cheek before running off.

That's right Leah and I are adopting a baby tomorrow...

2 months later

" LEAH!" I shouted from upstairs
Leah walked up the stairs and into freddie's room
" you alright?" Leah asked
" No freddie is making life difficult" i huffed and handed her the nappy
" Aw Freddie, did you just want your favourite to do it" Leah joked talking to the baby, who let hasn't spoken a single word to anyone, apart from the little babbling when he is excited.
Leah lifted him up, brought him over to me and placed him in my hands.
" Now time for you to dress him while I make some breakfast" Leah said kissing my cheek before walking out.
I placed Freddie down in his cot and walked over to his wardrobe
"Right mate, mums not here to tell me what you have to wear so today you'll be wearing a comfy tracksuit" I said turning around and lifting a matching baby's Nike tracksuit and walking over to him.
I placed down the clothes on the table in his room and then picked him up and made a woosh noise, making him giggle.
I got him changed and then picked him up again and walked downstairs, I put him down and let him crawl about in the kitchen where Leah and I could keep an eye on him.
" Right im gonna get ready for training" I said hugging Leah from behind and then walking off.
Leah decided to take time off from football and just focus on freddie for a while and to get away from the media light for a while.
After changing and putting my hair in a high pony, I walked downstairs and back into the kitchen.
Freddie was in his high chair and Leah was sitting on the chair next to him trying to feed him, I grabbed my breakfast and stood leaning against the counter watching Leah try find freddie, which was being proved to be a problem
" come on freddie mate, you need to eat" I giggled from the corner of the room.
" maybe you did to try harder Leah" I added finding this whole thing rather funny.
" come on then genius, you come do it" Leah said handing me the spoon.
" watch and learn" i smirked.

" All done" I laughed after finding freddie rather easily.
" Ugh shut up and go to work" Leah laughed before hugging me and giving me my bag.
I said bye to freddie and then set off for work.

Pulling up to house after finishing work was one of the best feeling ever
Knowing that Leah and freddie would be in there filled me with excitement
Or it did
Not today it didn't

I opened the door expecting to see freddie crawling down the hall to the frontdoor and the tv on
But no the house was dead silent, no one to be seen, nothing to be heard.
I walked around the house expecting to see them asleep somewhere
But no the house was completely empty.

Starting to get worried I texted Leah's mum

" hey Amanda! Just wondering if you've seen Leah and freddie?"

It didn't take long to get a response

"Sorry you must have the wrong number who?"
She responded with
I checked the contact name and number
It definitely was Amanda

" This isn't funny now, Amanda please tell me where they are"

"I'm sorry, but I don't know who they are"

I ran up to freddie room, the room was empty, as if he never existed
I turned and ran into mine and Leah's room
Only things to be seen where my stuff...

I slowly fell down the wall and leaned my back against it

Was this whole thing a dream?
Have they done a runner and Amanda is covering for them?
I am not real?
Is life not real?
I am in a game or something?
When will I wake up?
I am having another nightmare?

Where the things racing around my head
——————————————————
A loud buzz is all I could hear
Darkness was all I could see
A pounding headache was all I could feel

Slowly everything came round
A could hear chatting from people
A could feel someone holding onto my hand
But my eyes wouldn't open

I squeezed the hand that had a death grip on my hand

" oh my gosh,  olly just squeezed my hand! Get a ....."
Everything went quite again
I know that voice all to well
The voice of the human that brings me comfort no matter when and where we are.

I could feel a lot if people touching my arms and head and people rushing around me.

——————————————————
It could have been hours or even days until my eyes opened

Slowly I opened my eyes to see hospital lights on the roof, so that's where I am

I could see that everyone was asleep, I slowly pushed myself up and leaned against the pillows, durning this movement I must have woken up a few of the girls, including Leah

" what happened, where am I?" I mumbled, looking around the room for answers

"Hey your okay" Leah said calming me down firstly

" You had a head injury in training and got rushed to hospital" she added

That's when I remembered everything, well apart from the actual injury in training.

" Where's Freddie?" I shot up in bed

" He is here" Amanda said from the back of the room, she walked over and gave him to me

" I thought you weren't actually real mate" I said stroking his little cheeks

Leah's pov

"Im so thankful for you Lia, thank you for giving me all that advice about supporting olly, she's just woken up from her injury and immediately asked for freddie. Forgot about me 🙄! I should have never doubted that she couldn't look after a child"

I sent a text to Lia, who unfortunately couldn't make it to the hospital but wanted me to give her updates.

" Freddie is in safe hands with you two! So happy that she's okay 🙂. Don't be jealous Leah 😂🤦‍♀️!"
Wally replied back immediately.

I laughed at the message and then sat back and watched olly talk and make freddie laugh.
