Her New Start

Chapter 1

''here we go again'' she thought to herself as she heard the loud noises in her room from downstairs, assuming that her parents were arguing over a stupid small thing again. And she was pretty right. She wore her earphones and connected her laptop to listen to songs while doing her homework, obviously she had one of her earphone bud not put in her ear as she heard footsteps coming towards her room. Knowing who it as, she diverted her focus to her notebook and started scribbling words on her lined spiral notebook writing few important points from her lectures today, as her door of room opened making a cracking sound indicating someone's presence. She didn't bother to turn her head to look behind her as the person approached her, patting her head softly, stroking her soft hair.

Mr. Lee : studying, my princess?
y/n : mhm..[she didn't replied as she pretend to stay focused on her work]
Mr. Lee : can you come downstairs for a moment please? We need to discuss something important regarding you. [he said with a soft- gentle voice as he walked away from her room to downstairs]

Wondering what possible things her parents had to discuss, she closed her device and notebook and she hurdled down the staircase,saying in a calm yet slightly loud tone to catch attention of her parents

y/n : yeah? What is it mom-dad?
Mr. Lee : we both decided something and it's a good change for you. We decided to transfer your school to our nearby Sephants Oxford School, they got their admissions recently opened and the new session will start from day after tomorrow, so there will be no problems with you, even the books and study materials are same, so it won't cause you troubles.

y/n didn't say anything as she heard her dad talk, tilting her head as she shifted her gaze to her mom, seeing her mom nod, she just sighs a little,nodding in acceptance.

y/n : alright, well the uniform...? [she paused speaking as her mom starts speaking]
Mrs. Lee : you don't need to worry about it, we managed everything already. Just go finish your leftover studies and sleep soon.

y/n just nodded as she walked away to her room, closing the door by twisting the door knob. Plopping herself on her chair as she sighed resting her head on her hands on her study table, as she stayed in that position for pretty five minutes before sitting properly, straightening her spine,tapping her cheeks with her palm for few times, she went back focusing on her studies not realizing it was over midnight,around 2am in the morning. Blinking a few times,feeling her orbs heavy she closed her all stuffs, switching off the lamp, she laid on the bed as she covered herself with blanket,drifting off to sleep quick.

Next morning

Feeling the rays of sun hitting her eyes,scrunching her face and squeezing her eyes, she sat up on her bed as she rubs her eyes lightly,blinking few times before getting up to get freshen up.
After freshening up, she went downstairs to have some light food, not exactly breakfast but simply a drink to have energy, though her parents neglected her most of the times, she always had faith in them and knew how to take care of herself to feel productive enough to have focus on her studies. Making herself a blue macha latte,she rushes upstairs happily as it was just 6am in the morning which means she got herself two hours free before doing any stuffs like her studies or tidying her room. The day passed by doing her regular studies,cleaning her room,eating and resting slightly. The next day was the day for her admission in new school. Wearing her uniform and setting up her hair into a loose ponytail, she picked up her bag and rushed down, greeting her dad who was there sitting on the couch in the living room having his tea while reading news on his phone while her mother being in kitchen.

Mr. Lee : looking neat,daughter. Great now, wear your shoes. And..[as he gets up,looking in the direction of his wife before approaching his daughter,taking out few paper out of his pocket which seemed to be money as he hands them to her softly whispering] take this, use them when there is any emergency by chance okay? Have fun,dear.

y/n nodded as she passed her dad a small smile, before looking towards the kitchen having a slight glimpse of her mother before sighing,while her dad got the indication of her daughter's thoughts

Mr. Lee : she is in a bad mood, don't be bothered by her hm? Study well. [patting her head as he passed another soft smile at her,knowing how much his wife's attitude and nature bothers her daughter as he bids bye to his daughter to school]

Reaching her new school, her soul was in awe. She did know that Sephants Oxford school was one of the best schools and had best facilities but had no idea that it had even look so huge and educational. Gripping a little on her bag's stripes, she entered the school as she had the idea to look around and search for the principal's offer to get her schedule, but the school was way out of her league to even have idea of which route had led to what classes and rooms. Grabbing a bit of her courage, she poked one girl's shoulder who leaned on her locker,who was going through some stuffs on her bag, asking her ''um hey..i'm new here, can you please let me know where principal's room had be?''
The girl turned around as she smiled nodding quick as she grabbed the wrist of y/n,leading her to the principal's room "here we are, but before we apart'' she extended her arm "hi, I'm zenayel,nice to meet you"
y/n being both extrovert and introvert, smiled back as they both did a handshake "hi, I'm y/n, Lee y/n. nice to meet you and also thanks for helping me out''. Zenayel shaked her head lightly,laughing softly as she spoke

Zenayel : it's fine, people here are friendly so no worries, make sure to meet me in the cafeteria once your lectures are over okay? I will meet you later!

y/n just stood here seeing her new 'friend' just disappear and she smiled to herself slightly, knocking on the wooden plank saying in formal voice ''may I come in?''
hearing the expected answer ''come in'' from inside the room, she went inside as she bowed her head slightly while she spoke

y/n : madam, I'm Lee y/n, the new transferred student.

Principal : oh, welcome dear. I guess you're here for your schedule, so here [she ruffled through her files before picking one and taking out one of the paper as she hands it to y/n with the sweetest elderly smile] after one hour, the classes will begin, till then you can spent time roaming around exploring the school or just go play any sports.

Bowing her head, y/n headed out of the room,keeping the sheet inside her bag, repeating the principal's words in her mind as she mumbled to herself 'sports..'
Smiling wide as she walked around the school as she came across the basketball field, looking at the students playing a friendly match. She walked there,sitting a bit far from all students, she saw everyone playing as she smiled lightly thinking 'finally a school which provides sports before studies once a time to keep students' mind fresh' . till the match was over, hearing the bell indicating the free time was over and the classes had begun soon, everyone got up as they headed to their classes, y/n got up too,picking up her bag and carrying it on her one shoulder,she walked out of the field as she bumped onto one guy's sweaty shoulder. Rubbing her head lightly and scrunching up her nose, she looked up as the guy had an apologetic look mouthing a sorry as he passed the basketball to his friend before checking if y/n was alright. ''hey, you okay? I'm sorry, I was in a hurry''. Y/n just shaked head and smiled slightly ''it's alright, I will get going then'' y/n just left and the guy looked at her short figure vanishing before shrugging as he went to his members to tag along and get changed from their sweaty clothes to new pair of clothes for classes.
Now who was he? Was he one of the boy who would change her life?
