Comforting her

~~

Shinwon remained standing. He was still, and confused, and most importantly worry for Minji.

He doesn't know what to do in this kind of situation. But considering how many times Minji comforted him, he thinks it's time for him to be the good friend here.

Shinwon turn off the faucet and slowly walk to the cubicles. As he came nearer, the whimpers of Minji can be heard clearer but quietly, she might have already figured that she wasn't alone.

Shinwon gently knock on the cubicle.
"Minji-yah." He called that silents her. "It's me, Shinwon."

It was quiet for awhile before she answered with the most composed tone she can muster.
"What are you doing here?"

"Well, someone spilled juice all over my shirt." He answered, a little annoyed, but his eyes soften once she heard her sniff. "Minji, can you open the door?"

It took him a minute to wait before she finally opens the door revealing the disheveled Minji. Her eyes were puffy and red and the tears were still there.

Minji doesn't want to look at him, and he understands why. Minji is the most bright person that Shinwon knows, she always wear her beautiful smile, yet now, she looks fragile and broken.

"Can I, uh, comfort you?" Shinwon knows it wasn't the best question to ask, especially at this moment.

"Will you do that for me?" Minji's broken red eyes look at him, and it broke his heart.

"Ofcourse. But maybe not in here."

Shinwon and Minji were at the backyard. There wasn't many people located in here so they can have some private time.

Thankfully, Minji had calmed down. Shinwon felt relieved, but the worry is still visible in his eyes. He doesn't have the guts to talk to her yet, he doesn't want to spoil this moment and especially this is not his thing.

"Do you feel any better?" He asked, feeling unsure.

"Yeah." She answered with a sigh. "I don't know what had gotten into me that time."

"Maybe something makes you uncomfortable and bothers your mind." Shinwon answered, referring to what happened earlier.

"I don't know. Maybe? When someone talks about the future it just saddens me." Minji sigh. "I mean we don't know what happens in the future. And while I'm still young I wanted to try new things. But it seems like my parents has planned for everything. They were the one who suggest me to go modelling, but I wasn't happy."

Minji looked at him, and her broken eyes made him want to hug her. So he carefully did.

"And now, they had also planned for my future. They want me to be the next CEO of our company but I don't want to." She started to cry and Shinwon tried to comfort her by patting her back. "I hate my parents..."

"It's alright, Minji. Everything is going to be alright." Shinwon assured.

He let her cry in his arms. Every second the more she felt angry at herself and at her parents. She let it all out, she cried it all out, until there's nothing left.

Shinwon remained quiet and gently comfort her, patting and rubbing her back, as he try to whisper assuring words.

After half an hour, they went back at the party to find the others, and Minji had already lost her interest and wants to go home.
