All I see is black.

I can feel the tightness in my body. The cold air piercing my skin. But most importantly, what I think is a gag on my mouth. I try to open my heavy eyes, but my body isn't responding. No matter how much I strain, my body won't move.

What happened?

I can remember it. The screams of my friends. The cackling of the flames as it consumed them. The smoke, concealing the air. And then me, sitting on the road as my life began to crumble, unable to do anything. I should've saved them. Should've saved Chae. Because as far as I know, those men saved me.

Why?

"Oi get up now!" A man yelled, splashing water on my face.

I slowly opened my eyes to a dark room, and shook the water out of my eyes. There were 7 men in the room. Some blonde, some with black hair, all varying in height. I had to admit for what I think is a gang that burns bars down, they are pretty good looking. I looked down at my feet. I was tied onto a chair, tightly. Both my hands and legs were constrained to it. Not to mention the fabric on my mouth. There was a long table in the middle of the room with chairs on all sides, where six of the men sat. above was a warm chandelier that looks as if it costs thousands.

"I'm talking to you, eyes up."

I looked back up to the man speaking to me. He was about my height but at least three times stronger than me. I mean I can literally see the muscles through his shirt. His brown hair fell just below his ears and fit nicely with the silver earrings he was wearing.

"Aww. You can look at me all you want later. But, boss wants to speak with you." The man said, moving towards the entrance of the meeting room. As he opened the door I could feel the atmosphere change. All the members stiffened up, as if any move could get them in trouble.

It was the man I saw. The guy that I ran into outside. The one with the cigarette, the one that burned it down. Their leader. Instead of a hat and dark shirt like he was wearing last, he wore a tight suit and glasses, which hid his warm brown eyes.

"Now what do we do with you?" He questioned, with a slight Australian accent. "You saw something you shouldn't have." He said, eyeing me down. "Changbin, take her gag off. Let her make her case."

"Yes sir" the shorter man said, untying my mouth.

"Who are you all and why am I here!?" I screamed as I felt my eyes begin to water up. "Ah-ah-ah. Don't cry now, I just want to talk." The leader reassured me. And for a second I almost believed him. I tried to speak more, but the words in my mouth weren't forming.

"I'm assuming this is hard for you, considering you've probably never dealt with something like this before." The leader said, turning around to face his members. "What about an introduction! It might make it easier to talk to people who you know the names of. Don't you think so?" He questioned. And I nodded slightly.

"Well then. Welcome to the home of Stray Kids! We're a self managed crime group you could say. Some call us a gang, but I'd prefer the mafia. My name is Bangchan, and I'm in charge of these idiots." He mocked, pointing to the other members. "I see you've met Changbin already." He said, pointing to the guy that splashed me with water.

"You might meet the rest of them. Considering you make a good case as to why we should. You know, keep you alive?" I gulped when he said those words. This shouldn't be how it ends. If I can explain what happened, maybe they'll let me go.

I clasped onto the ties around my hands as they began to fall asleep.

"Bangchan?"

"Yes?"

"Could you please untie my wrists, I'm losing blood circulation."

"Fine. Just behave. But only because we used a tiny bit too much stuff to sedate you."

"You what!?!"

"You know what! Nevermind!" He laughed. "Back to business," he said, his eyes turning cold again "Why should we keep you alive?"

I shivered at those words. I never would've thought this would be happening to me, but here we are. "I can- help medical needs? I majored in nursing in college. And was working as a nurse in training. I mean before, you all like, blew up my boss."

"Can you do stitches?" A deep voice asked from across the room.

"Yeah I guess."

"What about broken bones?" Another voice questioned, this time by someone in braces.

"Seungmin. Even I can do broken bones. I dropped a weight on my foot before. Remember?" Changbin teased.

"Oh yeah..." Seungmin replied, his voice trailing off.

"Boys! Stop talking. I'm trying to decide what to do with her." Bangchan barked at the group. He lifted my face up to make eye contact with him. "I think he might like you. Han c'mere!" The leader said, motioning to a member to come to him.

"For the meeting with Jang Jihoon? I mean, if it were her instead of us, he might make us pay less." The guy named Han said, peering at me. "But I don't know. I don't think we can trust her."

"Nor do I Han. She needs to have something to wager. Other than her life of course. What's your name?" Bangchan asked.

"Why do you need to know, you'll let me go once I've done your work right?"

"No. You will tell me your name. Because I will figure it out, and we can get this done the easy way. Plus you won't be leaving anytime soon. You were the only survivor of an assassination plan we had worked on for months! We can't let you leave." The leader growled.

"My name is Cho Sara." I stuttered

"Well Cho Sara, you're in my debt now. Because I'm keeping you alive" He said, tapping his foot on the ground.

I sighed in relief "thank you so much sir, I'll do anything you want from me."

"Anything might be a bit too much, darling. Considering what I do on a daily basis, anything might break that little mind of yours. But who knows? You could surprise me." He whispered in my ear, his hot breath circulating on my neck.

"Felix! Hyunjin! Take Sara to the basement. She'll be up at 6:30 sharp for her first exchange." Bangchan yelled, motioning to leave the room.

Two of the members grabbed me by the arms, almost picking me up. "I can walk by myself, thanks." I muttered as they loosened their grip on my arms. The last things I could hear were light conversation about what dinner was going to be. How can people be so casual about living like this? Acting like killing people for a job is just a part of daily life. But I have to get used to it, because starting today. I'm in the debt of Stray Kids.
