Kageyama frowns when Hinata begins to laugh, not really seeing what's funny. Eyebrowns pulled together in a frown, Kageyama turns slightly so he's now facing Hinata completely. The orange haired boy has lost in, laughing to the point his eyes were closed and he had to put a hand to his mouth in an attempt to stop his laughter.
"So you couldn't join us because you have a photoshoot?" Kageyama asks when Hinata doesn't respond. He can't tell if what he's feeling is anger or hurt.
Hinata just begins to laugh harder when Kageyama continue and he clutches his stomach, tears falling from his eyes because of his uncontrollable laughter.
Anger, Kageyama decides when Hinata continues to just laugh instead of responding. Without a single moments hesitation, Kageyama reaches out and grips the boys hair, dragging him closer. Hinata quickly shuts up, eyes wide at he stares up at his teammate, the fear evident in his eyes.
"Why are you here?" Kageyama demands, eyes aflame with bitterness.
"I- Er... I'm here with Sayuri." Hinata flushes as he trips over his words and only struggles against Kageyama's grip for a moment - well aware that Kageyama's grip was far too strong for him to break away.
"Who-- The girl in the blue bikini?"
Hinata nods slowly as if moving too fast would evoke a bad reaction from Kageyama. "She, uh, normally brings Miko... but they've been on bad times because of the whole... slap thing when I turned Miko down."
Kageyama's eyes widen as he puts all the puzzles pieces together. The shy girl was girl #2, the one that seemed to just get dragged around by girl #1 (who obviously had a massive crush on Hinata and that was the reason she was stealing all of Hinata's attention). He should have realised sooner that the awkward girl in the bikini was the same girl but it's hardly as if Kageyama ever paid attention what girl #1, the loud one, looked like so the likelihood of him noticing the appearance of quiet one on the bench was next to none - if anything at all.
Before, during practice, Kageyama had thought about how he didn't much like or dislike girl #2. She wasn't loud and didn't steal his chances to practice praising Hinata (and his other teammates too... but mainly Hinata).
Now, however, Kageyama's thoughts and feeligs towards the girl were drifting towards the negative side of the line. He didn't know much about this situation so far but the one thing he did know is that Hinata came here with girl #2 and not him. The way Hinata reacted when he was asked... Kageyama hopes that means that Hinata had planned this trip with Sayuri before he asked Hinata to come with him to grandmothers. He didn't really want to think about the implications if Hinata had planned this trip with Sayuri after Kageyama him...
Taking a deep breath and halting his thoughts there, Kageyama pushes Hinata away from him and releases the boy.
"Hey!" Hinata yells as he lands on his butt after being pushed.
Kageyama rolls his eyes.
What does he do now? Hinata wasn't here with him but it felt too awkward to just separate. They see each other five days a week and probably hang out with each other more than anyone else. Being in the same place and not being together seemed like a ridiculous idea.
Hinata pushes him to his feet and stares at Kageyama, clearly debating something.
"What?" Kageyama snaps.
