The week passed without much incident. Jessie continued to update Cora of the no news out of Ireland. Nobody else has been seen in or out, no owls......nothing.
While this calmed Cora a bit knowing their owls had gone unnoticed, she was still anxious. Although Jessie confirmed that Dora had seen Draco and Narcissa in the garden the previous night, nothing seemed amiss.
She had been receiving regular updates from Draco, although they had been relying more on Onyx cause Draco's poor little tawny was struggling with the regular trips between London and Ireland.
He made no note of Lucius trying to get him to do anything. He mentioned his mother a couple more times, but that seemed mostly positive. Although the note she received this morning sent her nerves on edge for different reasons:
Love,
One more week and I will be home.
Have you been a good girl? Cause if I return home and find out,
That you have been naughty and touched yourself.........
The consequences will be dire.
Sir
Her face flattened......seeing that he signed the message just saying Sir, well, was unnerving in a good way. She hadn't touched herself, but the last couple of days weren't easy. She kept daydreaming about Draco and thinking of all the dirty things he would do to her.
Sir,
Being a good girl is overrated.
No one is here to stop me.... I could if I wanted.
But I haven't....... not yet anyways.
One week to go.
Your Almost Naughty Girl
She giggled to herself knowing if he was here this would send him over the edge but was interested to see how he responded from so far away. She patted Onyx, disillusioning her before sending her out with the letter.
The weather took a turn with heavy rains going on for days, Cora only left her apartment for work, letting her mood match the weather.
She was missing Draco even more than she thought she would. He was due back on Sunday, and she was counting down the days, thankful that it was Friday......this was the last day at the office she had to slug through until she got to see him again.
The day was quiet with everyone choosing to stay in their offices and relax, she walked by Harry's office and swore she saw him sleeping. She gave a soft knock so not to startle him.
"Huh. I was not sleeping. Sorry...oh. Cora come in." Harry was groggy and definitely hadn't been sleeping when Cora knocked on his door.
"I can come back later if you're busy." Cora chuckled at him.
He shakes his head at her. "No of course not. What can help with?"
"I wanted to ask if you had time today to help me with something. I was wondering if you could teach me on how do the Patronus Charm?"
Cora had been thinking more and more about learning the patronus. Dementors aside, the ability to use it to send messages seemed invaluable. She wouldn't have to worry about owls being intercepted and could more easily communicate with Draco.
"Yea. I can do that. Let's go downstairs. I know an area where we can practice."
Harry and Cora end up in an open, empty room in the basement near the trial chambers.
