The Actress and the Agent

Chapter 3 - Lunch date

A few days later Lydia was enjoying her day off when she received a phonecall from Jenna.
"I got it! I got the part!" she shouted down the phone excitedly.
"Congratulations Jen! I'm so happy for you!"
Jenna had just gotten a part in a TV show that she had binged watched while filming 'Scream'. She was thrilled!
"Do you have any plans today?" she asked.
"Not right now, it's my day off" Lydia replied.
"Mine too! Let me take you out to lunch" Jenna insisted.
"Um...ok, when and where?"
"Hmm how about The Country Club at 1?"
"Sounds good, I'll see you there!"
"See you later!"

A few hours later Lydia arrived at The Country Club, it was a British-style country pub just outside the city. It was surrounded by trees, rolling hills and gardens filled with flowers, it always looked glorious in the summer. As Lydia was British this was one of her favourite places to eat, it felt like a little bit of home for her.
She was shown to the table Jenna had booked, it was on the terrace with an amazing view of the grounds. Jenna arrived a few minutes later looking very happy, Lydia stood when she saw her and they hugged.
They chatted for a bit while choosing their meals from the menu and they both ordered club sandwiches with fries.
"I wanted to say thank you" Jenna said when the waiter left them.
"What for?" Lydia said curiously.
"For pouring water over me and getting me to the audition" Jenna said giggling.
Lydia laughed, "I'm just glad you got the part".
Jenna wore a proud grin. They held eye contact then Jenna motioned for Lydia to lean in closer and she whispered in her ear, "but if you wanted to get me wet, you could have just asked".
Jenna leaned back looking smug and winked at Lydia. Just then their drinks arrived but Lydia didn't notice as she was too stunned by Jenna's bold words...and also quite aroused.

Later on they walked to the car park and started saying their goodbyes.
"Thank you for today Jenna. It was nice spending time with you outside of work" Lydia said as they reached her car.
"Yeah I had fun too...I always do when I'm with you" Jenna said as she bit her lip looking up at Lydia through her long black eyelashes. Lydia let out a nervous laugh, she wasn't used to girls as pretty as Jenna flirting with her. Her skin tingled and her stomach fluttered. Jenna leaned in slowly but reality kicked in and Lydia stopped her before she went any further.
"What are you doing?" she said, with a hand on Jenna's shoulder.
"I thought-"
"Jenna we can't, you're my client and-"
"Oh...it's ok, it was stupid of me. I'm sorry".
"No I-"
"I'll see you tomorrow" and she ran off back into the restaurant. Lydia called after her but she didn't turn back.
"Fuck!" Lydia thought.

Although it was frowned upon for agents to have romantic relations with their clients, Lydia had always had a little crush on Jenna and now she knew the feeling was mutual. After an internal debate, battling desire and reality, Lydia got back in her car and drove home.
"It's for the best. She's only just got herself back on track" she tried to convince herself on the way but she couldn't stop thinking about Jenna's lips so close to hers.
