Hello!!

I'm so excited to start writing Dimensions, and I hope to help you guys on your journey to writing a book as well.

The first thing I try to do when writing a story is to plan out everything. For example, I make maps, characters, lore, and sometimes plan out the chapters. When writing a second, third, fourth, ect. book for a book series, I like to plan out chapters so I have a very clear visual on what I'm writing. For the first book of a series, I usually just wing it and try to just do whatever and hope it turns out. This sometimes works, but usually I have to change up a bit at the end.

For writing the first book, I would try to plan out the plot, and make sure you have a clear beginning, middle, and end. For example, if you were writing a book about a young woman going on an adventure to find out her family's past, you would want to have the plot(the adventure) a clear beginning(finding out about lost past), middle(beginning adventure), and end(finding shocking truth about past). You'll also want some twists and turns, maybe her travel partner was the evil one all along, or maybe her family is alien, I don't know, but you will most likely want a plot twist that adds to the plot of the second book. You'll also want a lot of adventure, many twists and turns, and a lot of emotion. You want to make sure your reader always knows what your main character(s) are seeing, hearing, thinking, smelling, feeling, ect.

Always keep in mind what kind of person your character is. Are they funny? Smart? Are they a leader? What are their hobbies? Make your character's personality stick out from the others.

I think that's all that I have for writing tips, but if you have any you can share, that would be highly appreciated!!
