Still learning how to draw this character. I would say he's my second favorite character in the series but that's actually "Donte" (Reboot Dante, I love him). But V is definitely my third. :P
V is very confrontational for me on a personal level. I love Dante so much and he makes me feel all warm and happy. V, on the other hand, hits me hard and it hurts.
He's so emaciated. It's upsetting, but not because there's anything wrong with what it represents in his story. It's just a kind of sickness that's upsetting to me. I kind of love that though, that the character invokes that for myself and others. It means he is very well written and thoughtfully presented to the audience. Still, this drawing is meant to be of him looking a bit healthier. I filled out his face and softened his clavicle line.
On a lighter note, I didn't mean to make him look like Mocia. Which means nothing to 99.99% of the people reading this. Here's a reference image...
Yeah, my bad. 🤷🏻♀️
No, but for real, I like how my drawing came out. It's really the pose that's similar, I'm just being nit-picky. I tend to revert to this angle when I'm not sure how I want to draw a character, one I created or otherwise. It's an easy angle to start with. And the next drawing will be better, but ya gotta start somewhere
