Bakugou was sitting anxiously outside Deku's hospital room with Aizawa and Eri as Inko talked to the doctors.

He was tapping his foot, occasionally glancing towards the door and up at Inko.

Come on Inko, we should be in there when he wakes up. He thought nervously, still waiting for her to finish.
He was just about to ask her if they were almost done when his ears perked up to the sound of someone moving inside the room.

"Inko."

"Yeah just a second Katsuki."

He waited a moment, listening more intently. Yeah, it was definitely someone awake and moving around in there.

"Inko!" He said a little more frantically, standing up from where he'd been sitting.

"Yes Kat-" she was cut off by the sound of something metal loudly clattering to the tiled floor in the room.

They all jumped up and flung the door to the hospital room open.
Bakugou smiled when he saw Deku standing.

Deku's eyes snapped over to them as soon as they ran in and Bakugou's smile was gone just as soon as it'd appeared.
He looked terrified and confused. He had tears in the corners of his eyes and was obviously hyperventilating.

"Midorya what are you doing?!" Aizawa yelled, remembering why the restrains had been put on in the first place.
As soon as Aizawa shouted, you could visibly see Deku's fear dramatically increase and he just staggered backwards.

Tears began streaming down his face and Bakugou could tell he was having a panic attack.

"Izuku! Calm down honey! You're safe!" Inko said loudly.

"You're going to hurt yourself, get back in the bed." Bakugou said cautiously, taking care to lower his voice.

Deku still didn't say anything but just slowly moved away from them, his eyes wide in fear as tears streamed down his cheeks.
Inko took a step towards him and he freaked out.

"N-no! Stay a-away!! Don't hurt me!!" Deku screamed in horror, tears flowing freely down his face.

Bakugou pulled Inko back towards himself.

"Oh god, my baby." Inko cried.

Deku's eyes snapped away from them all for a second towards the other side of the room before coming right back to them all.

He took one more quick and terrified glance at them all before making a break for it.

"Deku stop! No!!" Bakugou shouted as Deku booked it towards the window.

He watched as Deku braced his small body and slammed himself into the glass window. To his relief, however, it didn't break.

"Shit! No no no!!" Deku screamed, desperately slamming his elbow into the glass.
Bakugou ran closer with the intent of pulling him away from the window when suddenly Deku spun around.

"No! No no no! I'm s-sorry! I-I-I wasn't trying to escape again! I promise! Pl-Please don't hu-hurt me!" Deku screamed, bracing himself to be hit or kicked.

Deku sunk to the floor, curling into a tight ball against the wall and putting his arms over his head protectively.

He rocked back and forth and sobbed.

Inko was close to breaking down herself and was barely keeping from crying at the moment.

"You guys take Inko out for a moment. I'm going to try and talk to Deku." He said to the others without taking his eyes off of Deku.

"Are you sure it's such a good idea having only one person on the room?" Aizawa whispered back.

"He's really weak, he won't be able to overpower me if that's what you're thinking. Plus, I think it'd be less stressful for him if there's only one person." He said, getting a little more impatient.
Eventually, he heard everyone leave and he was left alone with Deku who was still curled in a tight ball on the floor in a protective position.

Bakugou sighed before sitting cross legged in front of him.

However, even after everyone left, Deku don't calm down in the slightest.
He continued to tremble and sob, completely terrified.

Bakugou just sat quietly.

After a few minutes, Deku parted his arms slightly and peeked out, only to see Bakugou and cover up his face once again.

God this is awful. Bakugou thought. He probably thinks he's still with the league. What on earth did those fucking monsters do to you? You were never like this.

He was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts when Deku jumped back up and started pounding on the window again.

"Deku!" Bakugou shouted and grabbed him, trying to pull him away from the window.

"No!! Please!" Deku sobbed, kicking and twisting around, trying to get out of his grip.
He felt something squeeze his heart. It was heartbreaking seeing Deku like this.

Rather than let him go, He just wrapped his arms around Deku in a tight hug and sunk to the floor, pulling him down with him.

All he could think to do was hug him.

"Oh Deku. I'm so sorry. So so sorry. I should've saved you. You don't deserve this." He held Deku tight in his arms and as he talked softly to him, he could feel his struggles lessen.
He felt his head turn up and assumed Deku was looking at his face.

"K-Kacchan?" Bakugou heard a tiny voice speak up.

Bakugou quickly pulled back from the hug to look at him. Tears quickly coming to his eyes.

"Yes, yes Deku it's me!" He choked back a sob as he looked into Deku's terrified face.

Deku inhaled sharply before breaking down.

"KACCHAN!!" Deku wailed, jumping back into Bakugou's arms and burying his face into his chest.

They sobbed and held each other tightly.

"I can't believe it's you! You came for me!" He wailed, clutching his shirt.

"I'm here. It's ok. You'll be ok. You're safe." He whispered, stroking Deku's hair as they both cried.

"W-we have to ge-get out of here!" Deku suddenly looked back up, the panic coming back to his face. "Shigiraki could be back any minute!"

Bakugou looked down at him. "No, Deku. You're not with the league anymore. We're in a hospital." He explained with concern.

"W-what? But I don't re-remember...." His voice trailed off.

"Come back over to the bed and we'll explain everything." Bakugou said, taking Deku's hand in his.
