Inko and Aizawa swung their doors open and stepped out of the car.
As soon as the doors were open, Deku squeaked and sunk back to the floor of the car.

Bakugou's eyesbrows creased in concern.

He slowly moved his hand forward and gently placed it on Deku's arm.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

Deku's eyes turned back up towards Bakugou, his eyes wide in fear. Although Bakugou saw that look of terror soften a bit when he felt his hand on his arm.
He glanced back up and out the window and then back at Bakugou.

"Ca-can I h-h-hold your hand?" He asked quietly, his voice shaky.
Bakugou felt a warm smile creep onto his face. He was so worried about Deku.

"Of course."

Deku looked down at his own lap as he grabbed onto Bakugou's hand.

"Are you ready? We can wait if you're not ready yet."

"Y-yeah. I'm r-ready." He slowly turned around and clicked the door open. He visibly tensed up when he was no longer behind the protective walls of the car.
He gripped Bakugou's hand tighter and stepped out onto the ground.
Bakugou follow behind him, still clutching his hand.

Inko and Aizawa were waiting for them.
"Are you ok honey? We can take things slow if you need." Inko said, her worry obvious in her voice.

"No, I-I'm ok." Deku hung his head and stared at the ground as he sped walked towards the stairs, desperately trying to get to the safety of inside.

Aizawa turned the knob and opened the door, revealing only three people. Iida, Todoroki, and Uraraka.
Deku jumped when he saw them, but calmed himself down a bit when he realized who they were.

"Deku-kun!" Tears welled in Uraraka's eyes and she bolted forward to give him a hug.

Deku yelped and hid behind Bakugou, dropping to the ground and covering his head.

"W-what?" She stammered, stoping in her tracks.

"Midorya?" Todoroki slowly walked forward.

"Fucking idiots! I texted you guys!" Bakugou hissed angrily through his teeth, squatting down next to Deku.
"Hey Deku, it's ok. No one's gonna hurt you. They were just excited to see you." He whispered, still holding his hand.

He looked up and saw Iida comforting Inko who was now crying.

"I'm s-sorry. I'm sorry. It's not yo-y-you guys." Deku cried, sill crouched on the floor.
A long moment passed before he took a deep shaky breath and stood back up, Bakugou supporting him.

"Can I - can I give you a hug?" Uraraka asked gently.
Deku stopped for a second before slowly nodding.
She walked over and wrapped her arms around him.

Deku tensed up. He'd only said yes because he didn't want to disappoint anyone. He'd been conditioned over his time with the league to do whatever they wanted of him. If he didn't, it'd only end in pain for him.
He didn't necessarily think his friends would hurt him, but it had just been so engrained into his mind that that's what would happen.

He started to hyperventilate as she hugged him. Bakugou noticed.
He grabbed Uraraka and pulled her off of him.

"That's enough." He glared at her.

"Where's eve-everyone else?" Deku asked quietly.

"We didn't want to overwhelm you, so we were going to say hi in small groups." Todoroki explained, a look of concern over his features as well.
Deku nodded his understanding.

"But you don't have to say hi if you don't want to." Bakugou added.

"....Ca-can I g-go to my room?" He lowered his head and stared at the floor.

"Of course Izuku." Inko said, slowly walking over to her son.
Uraraka, Todoroki, and Iida all looked upset and it was obvious as to why.

Luckily Deku kept his head down and didn't see their faces.
Bakugou, still holding Deku's hand, walked with him and Inko over to the elevator.

The elevator doors eventually opened to the second floor and they headed straight for Deku's room.

He opened the door and Deku let out a audible sob as he stepped into his room
Bakugou and Inko shot each other a worried look between the two of them.

Deku stumbled in and Bakugou shut the door behind them.
He dropped down to the floor against the wall and held his knees to his chest. He started mumbling to himself.

"Maybe we should go." Bakugou said to Inko.

"Yeah." Inko sniffed. "He needs some time."
They both turned back towards the door and clicked the latch open.

Deku's head snapped back up at the sound.

"W-w-wait! Do-don't leave me, p-please." A look a panic came over him. In his mind, he'd been alone for so many months, longing to see his family again. He didn't want to be alone again.
Bakugou turned back around. He could clearly see the panic written over his features. He glanced back at Inko before shutting the door again.

He gave Deku a sad smile and watched as he visibly calmed down, going back to his muttering and rocking back and forth.
He and Inko looked at each other again and she lowered herself to the floor, sitting on her knees.

Bakugou walked over to him and Deku's head snapped up to look at him. He looked scared but the fear faded a little when he remembered who it was.
"Can I sit next to you?" Bakugou asked quietly, squatting down so he wasn't towering over him. He was trying to appear less threatening.

He could see Deku's lip quivering before he responded.

"O-ok."

Bakugou smiled worriedly and slid down the wall until he was seated next to him.
Deku was very conscious of the person next to him, and quieted his muttering.

"Ca-can I h-hold your hand..." He asked quietly, looking at the ground.

Bakugou gave a small smile.

"Yeah." He said simply, reaching for Deku's hand. He interlaced their fingers.

He was honestly surprised Deku wanted anyone, let alone him, near him.
And the fact that he wasn't just ok with holding Bakugou's hand, but was the one asking to, surprised him even more.

Not that he was complaining.

After a few minutes Deku's mumbling slowly picked back up. Bakugou could only catch a few words here and there, but what he heard made him all the more sad.
