"Hey! Hey Mister!"

I was woken up by a voice, high pitched, like a child. My eyes were opened and I found a child standing right in front of me. A little girl.

"What are you doing sleeping on this bench mister?" the little girl asked me.

I slowly sat up and tried to get a grasp of my surroundings. It was much warmer than before now that the sun was beaming right on me.

"Are you homeless? You look too young to be homeless," said the girl.

"What's your name young lady?" I asked with a smile.

"Rosemary. But everyone calls me Rosie," she said.

I simply smiled and said, "I'm George."

"Nice to meet ya," she said while putting her hand out for me to shake it.

We shook hands and I slowly stood up. My body was still in a great amount of pain and I was pretty dizzy.

"Are you lost? Do you need some food? My house is just two blocks down that way," she said while pointing at the street.

"Rosie, you shouldn't tell people where you live," I said while giving her a pat on the head.

"I know, but I trust you Mister George."

I admit, it was pleasant having this small conversation with this girl. But I needed help before my ribs became unrepairable.

"Look Rosie, I've gotta get going now I have to go meet with a friend. I'll see you around okay?"

"Can I come with you? This park is really boring," she said while tugging on my arm.

"Sorry but I don't think your parents would like that. I'm in a bit of a hurry so I really gotta go. Bye bye Rosie it was nice meeting you!" I said while walking away.

"Bye bye Mister George it was nice meeting you too!" she said while waving goodbye.

I made it to Rowan's house. I rang the doorbell and he answered the door within a minute.

"Rowan! Clay beat me up and I think he broke my ribs! Please I need some help!" I begged.

"Shut the fuck up. I'm against bullying but if it's to bully a fag like you then I can see why my cousin does it."

What..?

He took a step closer to me, and then suddenly pushed me. My body fell onto the ground and was rushed with a familiar feeling of pain.

"W-why?" was all I could say as I held my chest with one hand and supported my body to sit up with the other.

Rowan got down to the ground and grabbed my throat. He was pinching it, but not enough to suffocate me.

"Clay's friends told me everything. I can't believe I actually protected your gay ass," he said with a disgusted facial expression.

The whole family is the same. Homophobic dipshits.

"I can't waste anymore time with you," he said as he pushed me back down to the ground by the neck.

As he got up, he kicked me one last time. It was his way of telling me to leave. So I did.

I got my pathetic ass off the floor and limped away. This time I really didn't know where to go. Karl was still mad at me and Nick was working all weekend so I couldn't just crash at his place.

I wasn't going to break a window in my house to get inside, that'd just cost me a bunch of money.

My body was losing its energy from me limping around neighborhoods. I needed to sit and rest.
