The next morning Shinso woke me up early and we had ran off deep into the woods.
He was showing me all the exotic fruits, flowers and animals. He was also showing me stuff that was good to eat and what was not just in case I ever got lost.
We sat in a flower field with a few fairies. We watched as they hopped from flower to flower as we ate some of the fruit. The fairies actually found some rare fruit. Golden strawberries that tasted like pure sugar. They were golden all the way through. We got other fruits but these I was more interested in.
"So your home is a castle that's at the top of a mountain and over a cliff?" I said a little confused on how they could build that.
"Yeah it's extremely windy but a nice view." He said as he ran a hand in his purple hair.
"How exactly did they build it. dragons?" I asked curious.
"Oh no at the time Dragons and the hippogriffs didn't get along at all." He explained and i nodded.
"So let me guess they used hippogriffs to build the castle?" I asked and he nodded.
"Yeah." He said and I hummed.
We then sat there in silence. We heard a noise and Kiri and that pink girl ran past us and into the flowers. We just watched a little confused as the fairies flew off. Bakugo walked up from behind us and shoved Shinso out his way as he sat next to me. He leaned on his hand that was behind me and grabbed one of the golden strawberries as Kiri and that other dragon sparring.
"Can't just go off on your own Y/n." Bakugo said and I raised a eyebrow.
"But I was with Shinso." I said and he glared at me.
"Cant go off on your own." He repeated and I just nodded looking away from him.
"I'll be right back." Shinso said as he got up. Probably to talk to the fairies that flew off. I watched him leave and once he was gone I looked at Bakugo.
"The hell was that about?" I asked as he took a bite of the strawberry.
"What?" He asked and I sighed.
"He was showing me stuff about the forest. I wasn't on my own." I said as I leaned away from him.
"You can't go trusting just anyone." He growled and I rolled my eyes.
"I trusted you." I said and I could feel his glare darken at me as I now played with the grass.
I was slightly offended. I could take care of myself and I trusted Shinso. He was helping me with everything while they all stressed over the war and how Endeavor was in power again. I wanted to explore and learn more about everything not stay cooped up in a castle waiting for the war to end.
Wars take years and I didn't want to live like that.
I sighed and looked at Kiri and that girl play fighting.
"Who is that girl anyway?" I asked not looking at him and picking apart some grass.
"Kirishima's childhood friend." He grumbled clearly agitated about me snapping at him. I hummed looking back at the grass.
"So what's the plan now?" I asked and he sighed leaning back on both his elbows.
"That's for us to worry about. You just enjoy the journey." He said as he leaned his head back enjoying the warm sun.
"K." Is all i said as I watched a lady bug crawl on a flower.
Later
Bakugo made me go back to the cave with that girl as him and Kiri went to hunt. I walked quietly beside the girl as we got closer to the cave.
"So you're the girl Kiri can't stop talking about." She said happily almost skipping next to me.
"I guess. Speaking of shouldn't he be resting or something?" I asked looking at my feet.
"Oh don't worry about him. Dragons tend to heal a bit faster then humans. When he gets back and eats I'm sure he'll pass smooth out." She explained and I only hummed. She noticed my mood and stopped me just outside the cave.
"What's wrong? Kiri told me about you. So do you miss home?" She asked and I shook my head.
"No I just...... when I realized where I was I did want to go home but I then wanted to explore the world and see what it has to offer but now." I trailed off looking to the side.
"Now there's a war and that's all everyone is thinking about." She said and i nodded looking at her yellow eyes.
"Don't worry girl on the way if you're tired of Shinso or any of the boys you can hang out with me and I'll show you a few things." She said as she put a arm around my shoulders and led me in the cave.
"That sounds fun. What's your name again?" I asked realizing Bakugo never gave me a name.
"I'm Mina Ashido a member of the Queens personal royal guard." She said as we walked in and sat by the fire.
"It's nice to meet you Mina."
When the boys came back Kirishima sat right next to me happily. While Bakugo cooked I changed and washed the cloth that was wrapped around his back to protect it from infection.
I tried to me as gentle as I could but his wings were in the way a little and also had cuts. Some cut straight through his wing leaving a gash to where he couldn't fly. Mina has stitched them up but it was sad to see.
Shinso never came back. I was worried but Bakugo said and I quote "who cares he shouldn't be with us anyway let him die". I cared but that didn't seem to matter to him. He hated Shinso for some reason and I had no clue why.
After dinner Mina was right. I laid on the ground as Kirishima cuddled me. His body was limp around me and he snored in my ear. He was out like a light. I smiled to myself not minding it and just happy he was getting better.
Bakugo stood at the opening of the cave taking the first shift to watch out for anything. I volunteered but he just told me to shut up and sleep. I watched as he sharpened his sword out on the rocks outside and slowly fell asleep in Kirishima's arms.
