I haven't been able to sleep since then. Of course I kept getting scolded for not doing so. Kirishima had to carry me because i couldn't keep up anymore.
We were camping just outside of a town because we didn't know if it was dragon friendly or not. I sat curled up looking at the city watching the lights go out.
"Princess?" Kirishima questioned from behind me. I only shrunk into myself knowing he only wanted me to sleep but there's no way I am.
"Shitty scales leave her be." Bakugo said a bit annoyed.
"But." Kirishima said but Bakugo cut him off.
"But nothing. If she wants to wither away then let her. We tried to help and she refused." Bakugo growled clearly annoyed by my behavior.
Kirishima gave me something to eat and I only nibbled on it. Eventually it was fully dark and quiet. The only sound being Kirishima's snoring. I sat there my back to the fire as I fought off sleep. I looked up at the stars through the trees. I smiled at a few fairies flying around up in the trees.
I sighed watching them as they tended to the trees. I flinched as I felt something be placed on my shoulders. I looked up seeing Bakugo. He didn't say or do anything else. He just walked away and went to lay down after putting his cape around my shoulders.
That morning we went into town to some girl that Bakugo knew. He said she could have some answers. We walked into the small building and he just barged in without saying a word.
Kirishima waited by the front door as Bakugo went in the back. It took a few minutes before he came back with a short girl with short brown hair. Her eyes looked to have the galaxy in them.
"So this is her?" She asked pointing at me. Bakugo nodded.
"Yeah. Can you hurry up and do the check up. She hasn't slept in days." Bakugo complained and the girl smiled my direction.
"Ok you can just bring her back here and I'll get into her head and see what's happening." She said and I panicked. I pushed off Kirishima's back making him drop me. I quickly got off the ground and held my swords handle.
"Whoa princess please calm down nothing bad is going to happen." Kirishima said calmly not to frighten me more.
"No I'm fine there's nothing wrong with me." I growled glancing at the door.
"Don't be stubborn. I know you're scared but you can't stay awake forever." Bakugo growled as he stepped closer to me. I drew my sword so he would keep his distance.
"I'm fine I'm not tired at all. I don't need help. It's gone so no need." I said and Bakugo tilted his head.
"Is it?" He asked and I got confused. I looked at the other two and the girl was shocked while Kirishima looked extremely concerned. I looked in the reflection of my sword seeing that my eyes were snake like and fire orange. I gasped dropping the sword and backing up slowly.
"Princess calm down and let her help. You're too exhausted to be doing anything but resting." Kirishima said but I only turned and ran out the door. I ran down the road into the woods.
I ran until my body couldn't anymore. I stopped and sat underneath a big tree in the shade. I huffed trying to keep my eyes open but it was extremely difficult. I heard someone sigh and I looked up seeing the stones version of myself. She crouched down to me as I panicked.
"Ok I see I came off too strong. I tend to have a temper the gods always have to interfere with me." She said and I was extremely confused.
"Look I'm not here to scare you the gods just thought you were ready and clearly you're not." She said and I thought I was losing my mind but when she touched my hand i could actually feel her.
"I'm not your imagination. Each Elemental stone has become so powerful that we developed our own personalities. We each have a blood line to look after. Nun are as powerful as me. I do apologize for being rude and threatening. Unfortunately I'm apart of you now but I'll leave you be until you're ready. Does that sound good?" She explained and I only nodded. I watched her disappear into the shadows when Kirishima and Bakugo found me.
For some reason I felt like I could trust her and I finally closed my eyes to sleep.
Kirishima's POV
We found her and brought her back to Ochaco. Now she was sound asleep. We waited for Ochaco to get done with her check up before she came to talk to us.
"If you told me about the Ruby situation i would have already told you what's happening." She said crossing her arms agitated.
"It's hard to explain." Bakugo said and she shook her head.
"Actually it's not considering you guys have the wrong idea of what exactly is going on." She growled and I spoke up.
"What exactly is going on?" I asked and she sat down in front of us.
"She has the fire ruby the strongest of all the elements. The stones absorb magic from users to get stronger. Some have minds of their own that's what's happening not to mention the last time the stone was touched was after a war and it's still in that mindset they adapt to the holders personality. It was just confused is all." She explained and we were both confused.
"The hell does that even mean?" Bakugo said and she sighed.
"It's just like having a friend that gives you power and helps in ways. It's good she has it if she gets lost she won't be vulnerable. She's not possessed it will become apart of her eventually and there's no getting rid of it. It will help with her mental health as well." She explained more and i nodded.
"So like a second conscience?" I asked and she nodded.
"This is stupid."
