Em's POV
Here I am, throwing a ball into the air. Letting it hypnotize me, lifting me out of my thoughts. Here I am, waiting for the call. The call that can turn my world upside down. Here I am, stressing about my future that I now have no control over. Here I am, on my bed. In my room. In this apartment I have built through hugs and tears. In Boston. In the USA. On Earth. Here I am, phone off of silent mode, in my hand, waiting.
All of a sudden, She Used To Be Mine started playing. Holy shiz!!! I never moved so quick in my life! "Hello?"
"Hello! Is the Emily Todd?" The person on the other line asked kindly.
"Yes! This is she!" My heart was pounding, I could barely breathe!
"Well I am Brie and I'm here to say hi to the new Lyds!" Wait a minute... did she just say...? "Emily? Are you still there?"
"Are you freaking kidding me?!" I practically screamed, jumping up and down on my bed.
"No I'm freaking kidding you!" Brie said matching my tone. "I will send you an email with all the details you will need by next week. Have a wonderful day!"
Holy shiz.... I'm in Newsies...

Mom and I made our way to the airport security. Underwhelmed by the line, only three people in front of me! "Are you sure you have everything?" Mom asked frantically. "Toothbrush, socks, Mallord?"
"Yes, I have everything. Oh, and I have Llama." I reassured her. I started to put everything on the convaderbelt. I took off my NEWSIES zip up, a chill creeped up my spine. I turned to mom to see her attempting to hold back tears. "Hey, hey, I'm gonna be okay and I just know you are gonna be okay."
"I know... I just don't want to lose you again."
"You will never lose me. And I will call you twice a day, just like old times." Mom took off the necklace she always wears and puts it in the clear bin.
"Take it," she whispered pulling me into a breath shortening hug. "I love you so so much."
"Love you too."
And with that, I was off onto the unknown.
