Em's POV
The rooftop was gorgeous! Wicker chairs with white cushions. A beautiful fire pit, flames like ghosts, disappearing then reappearing in a new place. People actually engaging with one another. It all seemed perfect! A loud bang blared from behind me. I realized the cause of it was the heavy door slamming shut, making everything go silent. I stood there, horrified. Something bad always needs to happen!!! Oh no, what do I do, I thought, they're all staring at me. I ruined everything!!!
"Hello? Earth to Em!" Mel said waving her hands in front of me. I snapped out of my trance. "Come on, sit with us! You don't belong next to the pidgin cage, this is where you belong!" She said waving her arm, revealing the rest of the cast. "Here! We left you a spot!" Showing me an empty spot in between Ben and a red head.
The fire was nice and warm making the dark October night light. "Why don't we do introductions!" Jeff announced. "Name, who you play in Newsies and a fun fact."
"What about age?" Josh asked playfully. "Are you just embarrassed from last time?"
"No!" Jeff yelled, his face a tomato. "Fine and you can do age if you want to, who would like to start?" Josh immediately started waving his hand in the air like he was an obnoxious second grader. "Yes Josh?"
"Okay! I'm Josh Burrage, I'm 19, I play Jojo and Darcy and I love the musical Cats!!!!!!! And NO ONE can change my mind." He said proudly
Time skip cuz I'm lazy------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After, like, 10 minutes of laughing at people's fun facts and ages, it was my turn to go. "Uhhh hi I'm Em Todd! I'm 16, turning 17 in 2 and a half months, I play the new Newsie Lyds and I don't have any fun facts." I trailed off.
"Oh come on! I'm sure you have had at least something interesting happen to you before!!!" Nico, who I found out plays Romeo, said.
"Fine...ummmmmmmm........ I like to crochet," I said shrugging my shoulders. "I made this little thing while I was on the plane earlier today." I showed them my purple worry pet. "I'm not that interesting, I know," I laughed.
"I love it!!! Can you make me one?" Stephanie, Steph, asked.
"Me too!!!" Someone called out.
"Me three!!!" Someone else asked giddily.
"I'll make one for all of you don't worry , but you will need to choose the color!" I announced.
After we spent what felt like minutes goofing off Jeff said it was time to "migrate to our rooms."
"Good night Em!" Ben called.
"Night!" I replied. Everyone seemed genuinely happy, I haven't seen that in a while. I think I'm gonna like it here.
Sorry it was so short!!!!!!!!!!! I was really busy while I was writing it and didn't have much inspiration!!!!! Love you!!!! :P
