A.N.: And now we get a brief glimpse of Tecna's background, though I plan on exploring her past more in-depth later on, idk when that will be.
I played around with a few different ideas and read a few fanfics before making up my mind. No, she's not going to be like Zane from Ninjago, don't worry.

Chapter: Save the First Dance Pt.1:
The girl was slender, like many of her kind. Her eyes shined, her hands glowing as she interfaced with her computer, fingers dancing across the keys in familiar sequences that were soothing to her.
Despite agreeing to attend a Magix school, she had yet to find anything from the current curriculum that would give her more context.
Zenith dealt in logic, cold hard facts backed up with as much evidence, and debunked counter-arguments as possible.
She cocked her head, biting her lip--an odd habit that she'd picked up from her roommate.
The fairy considered the pros and cons of her current action and then made her choice.
A new document opened, which she quickly hid beneath dozens of firewalls and security codes she'd learned.
A part of Zenith's culture was creating profiles of everyone that they meet, and analyzing their dialogue for further study.
While it was...less appreciated, to put it delicately, the pink-haired girl knew that this was too important, especially when considering the mystery that had fallen into her lap.
Zenith has a caste system, with the royalty at the top. All citizens are second-class, and unregistered magical creatures are in the third ring below.
She was a commoner, by her people's standards. Despite that, they live well. They eat, or are refueled at regular intervals. All of their people wander and slumber at the same time intervals. Despite their powerful intellectual present, Zenith has no real military. Their defense lies in their security drones and their fairy guardians.
What very few understand is that Zenithians are half-fairy, half-machine. What unknown, what many theorize is that an experiment using some form of magic, or alien technology went wrong and combined, transforming and creating a new type of species.
While she feels everything that a normal human would, she also analyzes, computers, files, and categorizes things in the same way that a machine would.
Despite her unique biology, Tecna still is an untrained fairy, which is why she's attending Alfea. Not so much because of the school's prestige and status, but because the royal family's heiress is considering attending the school, and they wish to scout it out first.
Tecna was lucky to be chosen as their scout. Her mission is secret, which is why she will be developing bios of everyone she meets, relaying encounters, situations, fairy's power levels, and other things of that nature.
And Bloom is too good a mystery for her to not take a closer look, on the side from her assignment.
The way she met the princess is startling enough (and she plans to grill Stella for every last detail), why would witches and an ogre be trying to steal a powerful Solarian heirloom, apart from the obvious?
