Paige's POV

When we finally got to my suite I was so tired I was tuning out Mike completely until I heard something about a roommate.

"Wait, say that again?" I asked him.

"That you will have a roommate because we were short on one room. Apparently the hotel was all booked, but as soon as there is an unoccupied room you will have it all to yourself. Is that alright?" he asked slowly. I didn't think I had an option anyways so I just nodded.

"Alright. Lauren, the girl you're sharing the room with, will be here soon. Please make friends with her, there's nothing worse than sharing your space with someone that hates you. Trust me, I would know" you're not the only one, I thought inwardly.

I threw myself on one of the beds and sighed. Man, this was good! The mattress was so spongy and soft. I'm guessing this is how it would feel to lie on a cloud.

I closed my eyes, hoping Mike would get the hint that I'm tired and he should leave but I was having no luck.

"Before I leave and check on the others, um, I wanted to ask you something" he said it softly, trying to sound nonchalant but I knew better. I knew what he was about to ask.

"Those guys on the elevator. They seemed to recognize you, how do you know them?" he asked 'innocently'. Here we go, the spying game was starting and he obviously needed info that he could provide to Derek when he called.

"I don't know them. They must have confused me with someone else. You do realize I have been here in London for like an hour right?" I hated lying. Despised it. But if Derek did put his cousin to spy on me, then he would go crazy if he thought I made guy friends here already. He's the really jealous type if you know what I mean.

"Really? They really seemed convinced they knew you...." he trailed off because I was giving him an annoyed look.

"Well... yeah. You're probably right, why would you know famous people like them". he said it thoughtfully as if talking to himself and I just resisted the urge to ask him what he was talking about.

Famous? Those guys were famous? Who are they and why didn't I recognized them? All this was going through my mind until Mike cleared his throat.

"I'll leave you to rest then. Hope you like your roommate and see you tomorrow at 8am, for the London tour we will give to everyone who won" he stood there awkwardly, gave me a weird wave with his hand and locked the door behind him.

Finally alone.

It was barely six in the afternoon so I had time to explore the hotel or take a nap before my roommate got here...

There was a soft knock on the door and I knew I wouldn't have time for either.

I got up with a groan and went to answer the door.

Standing in front of me was a pretty girl with long blonde hair and sparkling green eyes filled with excitement. She was wearing jeans, a pretty low sleeved shirt and grey vans.

"Hi, I'm Paige" I said, sticking my hand out to her. She shook it without hesitation.

"I'm Lauren... and I'm guessing you're my temporary roommate?" she asked with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back while I nodded in answer to her question.

"Great, this is going to be so awesome right? I still can't believe I won this trip. I'm in freaking London! It's just so surreal..." she trailed off.

"Sorry, I'm just a little excited" I waved her words off.

"Don't worry. I'm excited too...I'm just trying to act all cool and collected". At this we both laughed, and then looked at each other.
