Niall's POV

I woke up around noon, which was early considering the fact that today was my day off. I groggily pushed the soft white blankets, courtesy of the hotel, off me. I stood up feeling a little unbalanced, my leg was still hurting from my ankle injury but the swollen limb looked less gruesome today.

I walked, slowly, to the mini fridge and took out a soda, which I opened before I started swallowing the contents. I then proceeded to call room service and ordered a mix of food that represented my breakfast but also strayed to appear as lunch at the same time.

Two soft knocks startled me after hanging up and I go answer the door.

"Mornin' lad" I greet Zayn. His hair is tousled in a casual manner, which is understandable with the white tee and black sweat pants he was wearing. He pats my back in a friendly manner before entering the room.

"Is it possible that I woke up before you did?" he asked, fake disgust in his voice. I rolled my eyes.

"I probably died and now live in an alternate universe" I replied without any type of emotion.

"Yeah and you left your heart over in the old universe as well huh? Why were you so noncommittally grumpy last night after the show?" he asked.

Well I give him points for going straight to the point.

"So that's what this graceful visit is about?" I suggested with a cocked eyebrow.

"Pretty much yeah" he stated un-preoccupied, while sitting down at the edge of the bed.

So much for avoiding the problem until eventually it goes away...

"I'm still not hearing your answer? What was up with you last night, mate?" he asked, this time concern reaching his dark eyes.

"Look, mate. I appreciate you reaching out to me and all, it shows that you're a good friend; but I'm alright, you really don't need to worry" I said calmly, then gulped down more soda.

Zayn opened his mouth to say something but stopped when a knock sounded on my door. I gratefully went to answer the door, the distraction was very welcomed. Even more when I realized it was room service with my food.

"Oh, God I love you!" I blurted. The old aged lady smiled warmly at me while she pushed the cart inside my room. I thanked her before she left.

"What's that, mate?" Zayn, got up from the bed and walked towards me.

"What do you think it is fool? Food! I haven't eaten anything, I'm sure I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said I could eat a horse" I commented matter of factly. He scrunched his nose.

"That's gross lad, but seeing you've got enough food for 6 people... I believe you" he said before taking one of my buttered toasts.

"Hey!" I whined.

"It's just one!" he argued before taking a bite of the bread. I glared at him. He chuckled.

"I haven't forgotten the lack of a response to my original question, Nialler" I winced. There was no way of getting anything past Zayn.

"Alright! I-I was jealous of Harry" I uttered grumpily.

Zayn's eyes widened at my confession, then his mouth curved up into an amused smirk.

"Screw you" I stated, avoiding his gaze.

I heard him laugh and shook my head.

"I knew it!" he exclaimed.

Of course he did. They all did. Is my acting that bad?

"So I'm assuming that you like Paige" he offered, when I stayed silent. I snorted.
