Paige's POV

"This is ridiculous! I can't believe I agreed to do this" I said exasperated.

"C'mon Paige, where is your adventurous spirit?" Lauren asked cheerfully.

"There is adventurous and there is suicidal with a death wish" I retorted back.

I heard her laugh from below me and I breathed out in frustration.

"Hurry up! If I fall I'm going to kill you" I threatened.

"If you fall, you are dead so you are not going to kill anybody" she replied.

Good point.

"Shut up and move, the faster we're down, the better chances I won't die".

So the whole situation is this: Lauren accepted the guys offer to go to the concert so after they left I had to tell her about Derek and how Michael was his cousin and what that implied.

Then she came up with this crazy demented plan so we could get out of the hotel without him noticing.

Why I thought I could be friends with this girl is beyond me. She is insane!

First we "disguised" ourselves in granny clothes ( I really don't want to know where she got them from).

We took the elevator to the top floor, then as inconspicuously as we could, we took a set of stairs to the roof.

Once up there (me in my complete ignorance on what we were about to do).

Lauren went straight to the left side of the building.

There we found a metal ladder.

Sorry, let me rephrase that, we found a rusty old metal ladder.

At that moment she decided to share her idea of taking the ladder down the fifteen floors until we reached the ground of the back alley of the hotel.

I obviously told her I would rather take my chances of getting caught by Michael leaving through the front door but she said, and I quote: "Nonsense! No friend of mine will get in trouble for living a 'safe' life" or something like that.

So here we both are still going with this madness and with a long way down still.

"Please remind me to never, ever let you think out a plan, please!" I heard Lauren laugh while keeping her steady pace down so we could reach our destination-- safety.

Lauren's POV

I don't know what the big deal is. I was just trying to help!

I mean if I were someone else I'd be like, whatever, it's your problem but even though I met Paige yesterday I already thought of her as a friend so I couldn't let her get in trouble just because I gladly accepted One Direction's offer to go to their concert without asking her if it was okay with her.

Once we reached the ground all the muscles in my arms and legs were protesting for all the effort. I really need to get in shape, jeez.

"You are so lucky I didn't die" Paige stated, avoiding looking at me in the process.

"I'm lucky I didn't die either" I replied nonchalantly.

If she wanted to be difficult because I had wanted to help her, she could be my guest because I didn't care.

I was going to a One Direction concert for the first time and I was going to have a damn good time, not even my new roomate was going to spoil that for me.

Paige's POV

All the way to the venue where the concert was going to take place, a silence surrounded me and Lauren.

I might have overreacted and upsetted her but c'mon if you were in my place, would you be happy going down 15 floors through an unstable rusty old ladder?

I'm sure the answer is no.

I do realize I might have to apologize... I just didn't know how to bring it up. Because basically I'm a coward.

My thoughts were interrupted when the taxi made at stop in front of what look like a Coliseum.

The place was huge, and it portrayed a look of ancient structures.

"Oh my God" I heard Lauren say in awe.

"That's about right" I agreed quietly.

"So are you going to call Niall?" she asked me, she seemed to be back to normal and I thanked God that I didn't have to worry about an apology anymore.

"Uh, why don't you call Liam please? Niall is just so obnoxious that I know he'll give me a hard time" I explained.

"Niall, obnoxious? Is that even possible?" she asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Yes. He drives me insane and I really don't like him" I stated.

"Everyone likes Niall, Paige, even the ones that don't want to like him" I quickly looked at her to decipher if she was giving two meanings to her words but she was already pulling her cellphone out of her purse and dialling Liam's number.

Liam being the nice lad that he is, sent some security men to get us and to bring us to them safely.

The inside of the Coliseum was as impressive as the outside, I literally had no words.

Niall's POV

I spotted Paige and Lauren walking towards the stage, since we were still rehearsing before the show and they sat on the first row to watch us (accompanied by security people).

I elbowed Liam on the ribs and as he was about to complain about it but I directed my gaze to the girls so he would know why I did it.

"Oh, thanks mate" he replied and I nodded.

"Alright, you boys can take a five minute break" our stage instructor announced.

Great.

I wasted no time at jogging down the stairs and towards the girls.

"How are you two beautiful ladies doing? Liking the place?" I asked conversationally.

I noticed how Paige rolled her eyes at my first question but changed completely at the second one.

"This place is amazingly beautiful...breathtaking" she shared her thoughts and I grinned.

"I know right, this is hands down the best place we've had the honor of performing at" I said.

"Who wouldn't be honored?" she exclaimed.

This was one of the few times that we had an actual conversation where she wasn't glaring at me and I really liked it.

Her face showed only vivid enjoyment and for a second I wished I could see that expression more often. Then I remembered how I liked her annoyed expression just as much so it didn't really matter.

Liam appeared beside me and greeted Lauren and Paige with a hug.

Should I have done that? Would Paige had minded? Would have she even let me?

I shook my head from the stupid thoughts because really why do I care?
