The car ride to my first day of high school is uneventful. My brother drives while I sit in the passenger seat listening to music with my headphones. I hear him say something but the words are muffled by my music.

"What?" I ask, pulling a headphone from one ear.

"I have a radio in my car, you know. You don't have to listen to music with those." He replies, pointing to my headphones.

"Well you weren't conversing with me so I decided to make it less awkward by listening to music."

"Fine, fine I'll converse with you. Are you excited about your first day of high school?" He smirks.

"Liam, that is by far the most boring question. Do you know how many times I'll be asked that today?" He puts a hand up in surrender.

"Well look where conversing got us, no where. Now we're here and I have yet to find out about your expectations for the next four years of your life." I giggle and turn my gaze to the building in front of me.

Columbus high school is printed in giant letters in front of the school. A sea of people float by, hugging and talking to friends.

I have to admit, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the scene. Having not gone to registration, I have no idea where my classes are or how to get there. All I have are the names of my teachers. I'm assuming someone will help if I ask but I wouldn't want to stop anyone from getting to their class.

Liam parks the car, gets out, and starts heading for the blue double doors. I quickly follow behind him. Once we're inside, Liam looks around.

"My homeroom is that way," He says, pointing down a hallway, "Do you need any help getting to your first class?"

"I'm sure you'd rather be dead than show your little sister around school."

He chuckles. "Is that a no then?"

I nod my head and he starts to walk away. I quickly realize that I have no idea where I'm supposed to go. I turn to catch Liam but he's already disappeared into the sea of people.

I sigh and look around, trying to get my bearings. By now, most of the students have gone to their classrooms. A few stragglers wander the halls, seemingly as lost as I am. I know that, if I ask them for directions, I'll get a shrug in response. I scan the hallways for someone who doesn't look lost.

I settle on a boy who is leaning over the water fountain . As I approach him, I start to second guess myself. Both of his arms are covered in tattoos. Will he flip me off or curse me out when I ask for directions? Or will he notice my vulnerability and beat me up? I've heard stories about these types of guys; I should stay away.

Before my legs can catch up with my brain, I'm behind the boy, tapping on his shoulder.

"Um, sorry to bother you but can you show me the way to Ms. Willis' classroom?"

The boy jumps a little, seeming startled by my question, which I can understand. I basically snuck up on him. When he turns around, the first thing I notice are piercing green eyes which darken when he looks at me. He speaks slowly and his eyes never leave mine when he explains the way to go.

"Uh, yeah. It's right down this hall and to the left." His eyes are still on me as he runs his hands through his chocolate curls.

"Thanks. I'm Aria by the way." I say, reaching my hand out. He smirks at me and takes my hand in his.

"Harry."

A/N- The attached image is who I imagine Aria as (Andrea Russett). Of course, you can imagine her as whoever you'd like. I personally picture her as Andrea.

I'll mostly update everyday (it's summer so I have a lot of time to write). If I decide that once a day is too frequent, I might change it to every other day. Thank you so much for reading! Please vote, comment, and follow me on twitter @bchoranxx
