The sun had slowly stared descending, leaving behind a lush of its golden rays. I stared at the sky above, my thoughts wondering off to places, most of those being her.

For now she had managed to consume my being. All I could ever think of was her. A small smile creeped up my lips at the thought of her.

I lay on the roof, legs spread and hands tucked underneath my head, taking in the beauty of sunset. My eyebrow scrunched in thought.

Why hadn't she been back yet?

It had been the entire day she had been out and now it was starting to get boring, though I should be used to it by now.

I glanced down at the clock on my wrists. I sighted at the time before focusing back on the sky.

Her beauty somewhat resembled the magnificent sunset. Her golden tan skin like the rays of the sun. She was something I could stare at the whole day without getting bored.

It had been a few weeks since I started living with her and to be honest life's been treating me better.

Unlike the slave I used to be back there, I feel very much a member of this house, though I feel left out a lot.

I still know nothing about her other than her name since most of the time she's always out. She leaves home in the morning after breakfast and comes home late at night after I fall asleep waiting for her. Though I always find a blanket covering me in the morning.

My routines been fairly a boring one. The only work I do in the entire day is cook food and clean the house, other than that I'm always lazing on the couch watching some boring show.

Mine and her conversations have been bare minimum. She won't talk to me unless it's important and I could never find a topic to talk about with her.

I had managed to buy some clothes in the local market at the cheapest price available. And as for footwear, I didn't need one except the slipper I wore at home.

By the time I opened my eyes again, the sun had already set, leaving the spotlight for the moon. Its bright ray cascaded down through the clouds, providing a breathtaking view.

I sat up, tucking my knees to my chest and turning my back towards the door, staring at the perfectly imperfect moon.

Its beauty always blinded me and the serienness of the moment penetrated through my skin. The air around me had become fairly cold and my body shivered.

A click resonated from down the apartment and I turned around for a brief moment before staring back at the beauty the nature provided me.

She's early today. A voice inside my head spoke and I glanced down at the watch.

The house was fairly quite for someone being inside and a odd feeling settled over my heart, making my insides churn and my heart beat faster.

Such quietness had only brought storms in my life and the memory wasn't one I would love to recall. It felt like the silence before the storm.

Before I could get up and go down to check, a hand tightly grabbed my neck and a cloth pressed against my face. And a moment later everything around me started to blur.

"Aesira." A faint mumble escaped my lips before the world turned black and my body fell limp.

•-•

My head hurt unbearably. My body extremely stiff and my eyes heavy. My throat felt like the sahara desert and my stomach grumbled with hunger.

I tried opening my eyes with every ounce of strength left in me and in a instant the bright light blinded me, and I closed them again.

My wrists hurt along with my ankles. The ropes tied around them cutting open my skin, leaving a burning sensation behind.

I weakly took in my surroundings. My head could only move until a certain angle and from how much I'd seen, it looked like some abandoned building.

Broken steel roads, planks of wood lying here and there. The floor morphed with dust and walls covered in webs. An odd marine smell filled in my nostrils. The small broken windows providing small ounces of light did nothing to light the place. Instead a lamp directly placed above me, shone down.

The faint voice of murmur filled in my ears which with time grew louder and louder. I couldn't exactly make out what they were saying given the buzzing in my ears due to the headache.

"Ah, the pretty boys awake." One of the three spoke and I stared ahead at him, eyes a little wide in fear.

I tried speaking, but nothing came out. The gun and knife in their hands was enough to shut me down entirely. Not like I expected them to be armless but they still scared me, non the less.

My mouth opened and closed like a fish and they must have read my expressions for they all rumbled in laughter.

"Is this cutie scared." Another one spoke waving the gun in the air, more like to scare me. I somehow gathered my shit together. I needed to somehow manage till she comes.

I just hoped she would.

"W-why am I he-here?" I cursed myself for shuttering so bad. The guy smirked down at me.

"What a pretty voice." Another one spoke, tracing his hands on my jawline and I scrunched back in disgust.

I tried wriggling out of the rope but nothing much happened other than my wrists burning more. I hissed in pain.

"Yes boss!" One of the guys, the tallest one, spoke into the phone before signalling the others.

They took a hold of my hands, untied my ropes and pulled me up. I tried my best to run but those two were stronger. They dragged me down to a corner and sat me down, tieing my arms and pushing me against the wall.

A sudden harsh punch landed on my face and my lip burst open. I cried out in pain as they continued to kick and punch me. I was withering on the floor, curled up in a ball by the time they stopped.

"This shall teach her a lesson." One of them mumbled before pulling in up by my hair and pushing me against the wall.

"Now be a good boy and sit still, you don't want me to be harsh now do you?" He mumbled before pulling out his phone, clicking a few photos of mine and then with a satisfied smile turning away to sit down on a chair nearby.

"She better learn her lesson from this or next time I'll have to send her his head." He angrily murmured and my mind caught onto it.

They were taking revenge on Aesira using me. God but do they have the wrong guy. She wouldn't even know I'm kidnapped and more the less wouldn't even care. Though I hoped she would a logical part of me knew she wouldn't. She would just shrug it away after she gets the photos not bothering to even give it a though.

But, when I looked up at the sudden disturbance in the quiet atmosphere, I somehow found her there, trying to fight her way through the three men. And instead of doing something, I just sat there shocked and speechless but still with a sense of relief.

She really did come for me, she actually cared that much about me. And all I could feel, as I watched her mercilessly throw punches at the guy, was my beating heart that suddenly had switched to an abnormal rate leaving me aching and begging for more.
