"sureee~" that smug look she gave told me that i would not hear the end of it until i gave in.

"no boy at school got me thinking like that.. they're all either creeps, taken, or way older than me" i messed around with my pencil, picking at the worn down eraser.

"true, but you'll never knoww~! your future boyfriend could be just outside the hall, outside the window, maybe this cla- yeah maybe not this class.." she took a good look at the boys in our room, then turning back to me.

"hey it's fine anyways! i'm not looking for a relationship right now, i wanna graduate early" i skimmed through my current grades on my chromebook, checking to see if i had anything missing.

"says the one who hasn't had her first kiss yet.."

"hey now that's just foul-" i looked at her shocked but with a dramatically sad face, kinda like in a 'how dare you say that to me!' way.

she laughed at my reaction, pushing me slightly and i laughed too in response.

"girls, are you two done with your work yet?" our english teacher pierced through the laughter we were causing.

"oh yes!" the curly-headed girl answered for the both of us, i nodded in response as well to clarify it.

"good!" she walked over to the other side of the room to monitor the other misbehaving students.

once she was out of hearing distance, i complained briefly "i wanna go homeee, apparently the rain is gonna come down pretty rough and there might be hail" i attempted to hype myself up with the exciting weather, i couldn't wait to listen to the therapeutic booming sounds later on.

"ugh really? hopefully it's not when we get out, i usually walk home.."

"oh jeez, good luck with that" i yawned, resting my head on my hand.

???'s POV:

"yakko, who are we spying on this time?" my sister asked in annoyance whilst on her tip toes, trying to peek through the window.

"you'll see, dot!" i taunted, trying to search for a certain someone in the class. as many of you readers of this book saw, i've encountered quite hot stuff! i met her at the gas station earlier this morning, she was just gorgeous! though i have to say, she was a little shy to meet such a handsome guy like me! i mean who wouldn't?

"yakko are we spying on another girl?" dot crossed her arms and tapped her foot.

"he's gotta, what else is there to look at in that boring classroom?" wakko licked his comically large lollipop, looking around to find something interesting. all we saw were miserable looking students and an old hag of a teacher.

"oh look it's her! the one with long curly hair!" i blurted out excitedly.

"found her! ooooh she's pretty!" dot smiled.

"i can't find her.. oh nevermind!" i helped him by turning his head to the other direction.

she was on the other side of the classroom. i lit up with joy as one does, but her face told the opposite story.

"she doesn't look too happy to be in there" i pointed out.

"well who would be in that lifeless classroom? the most interesting thing in there is the door to leave" dot pulled out a nail file, filing and checking out her non-existent nails.

"why don't we just get her out of there? she looks like she dropped her lunch in a puddle" wakko frowned as well.

"wakko, you dropped your lunch in a puddle"

"exactly! it was a tragedy" he wiped a tear from his sorrow eyes.

he had a point though, not just the lunch, we could take her out this boring class!

Yami's POV:

"c'mon.. c'monnn" i eyed the clock on the wall, counting down the last seconds so that i could leave.

ding

"finally" i pack up quickly, put on my headphones, and click 'play' on my playlist, heading out of the classroom. just one more class to go and i get to go home!

next class is health, the teacher isn't there most of the time due to her track meets so we usually have free periods. this means i can finally catch up on some unfinished drawings.

i walk down the four flights of stairs and head outside towards the portables, feeling the cool breeze playing with my hair. by playing i mean messing it up and leaving me to look like a baffoon once i entered the classroom.

as expected, there was a substitute sitting in the teacher's chair. i sat down in my desk and pulled out my phone, checking my reflection in the screen to see if i still looked like i came out of a 12 hour shift.

"these fly-aways.." i thought about buying a mini container of gel or something similar to carry on the go, but for now i had to make do with just smoothing down my hair with my hands.

i see that my phone turned on since i got a notification. it was an email from the school, explaining the severity of the weather and how it would affect the rest of today's activities.

"..we will have to cancel after school activities. If the weather gets worse, school should be released at 3:25 instead of 4:00."

"sick, we'll get to leave in an hour" that's what i thought.
