"Father. How long will this trip be?" You ask. Watching the servants of the household bustling around. Packing your belongings for the upcoming trip.

"About a month. We will also be looking for a potential marriage for you as well, Y/N." He was called away by your mother.

A look of 'as expected' was on your face. You knew. The hidden agenda for this visit to Narukami Island. Father was taking advantage of all the gathering noble clans in Inazuma attending this meeting. It was to plan the celebration of the Raiden Shogun's birthday. The perfect opportunity.

You let out a deep sigh. It was going to happen eventually. Just not this soon.

A servant calls out to you to confirm some items for packing. It distracts you for a while. Just a while. Away from these thoughts. The thoughts of having no free will.

It took three whole days to finish packing and loading everything up on your family's private ship. Then it took half a day to reach Narukami Island. As the boat docked. You were lead with your parents off the boat onto the dock. The sea breeze blew gently through the sleeves of your kimono.

The wind caressingly your hair as a maple leaf fluttered passed your sight. Your eyes fixated on that beautiful shade of orange as it danced in the wind. Then you noticed a samurai. Who had patterns of maple leaves all over his clothing. Sitting on a box with a strand of grass in his lips.

Your eyes met his. He gently smiles at you and nods his head in acknowledgement towards you. His gentle kind eyes, drew you in. You wanted to approach him to talk. Without realizing it, you took a few steps towards him. This familiar person.

"Master, we must depart for our stay now." The butler of your household spoke out. He then steps in front of you, breaking your line of sight. Leading you back to the rest of your family as they herd you away.

"If only." You mumbled to yourself.

A foreign lady, long black hair with an eyepatch. approached the lone samurai on the box.

"Kazuha? Is something wrong?" She asked the distracted samurai.

"No. Nothing Captain Beidou. Just sensed a familiar aura in the air. It disappeared before I could even get close." Kazuha sighed to himself.

"Familiar aura? Are you sure the tatarigami residual isn't messing with your senses? I'm still worried from the last time." Beidou recalled what she was told about Kazuha's recent encounter.

"I'm fine now. Just some slight headaches. It'll subside soon." Kazuha gets off the box and walks passed Beidou.

"Alright, if you say so. Just let me know if it gets any worse." Beidou reminds him.

The two boards their ship as they set sail for Liyue. Kazuha, looking back towards Narukami Island as it shrinks in the distance.

He could have swore he knew you.

The family servants were bustling around again. You watch on with no interest as they set up everything. Unpacking and rearranging furniture. This was a private villa owned by your family on the main island. It was too big. Too grand. Too prestige for your liking. It screamed how high your status was. How rich your background is. That's all anyone who meets you for the first time thinks anyways. How well off and rich you were.

Not for who you are. No one has seen you as an individual.

Dark thoughts were swirling at the back of your mind. You don't want to think about it. It's just easier to kill your emotions and do what your Father askes of you. That way, it would hurt less. He can't punish you if you obey. Not caring that you were digging your nails into your palms with how tight you were holding your fist. You let out a deep breath to calm your rippling emotions.
