Keep in mind, this is one of my many first attempts at writing and completing a crossover fanfiction, so no burns, please. Constructive criticisms only.

I don't own Princess Principal, Moriarty the Patriot, the Sherlock Holmes original stories, or any other adaptations of Sherlock Holmes. I don't own any of its characters, or the image I used as the cover above. The only thing I own is the idea behind this crossover fanfiction.

After the introductions were done and the spies were properly acquainted with their newfound allies, Molly and Amy were allowed to exit the room before the detective's investigation was resumed.

But before Sherlock talked with the five spies about the events in Islington Hall, he asked the guards stationed in front of the door to the room not to let anyone enter while he was investigating.

As they knew that the detective was there to investigate the Islington Hall shooting, they obeyed.

"Okay, now... onto more pressing matters. I would like to question you now, Your Highness."

Charlotte positioned herself in a sitting position. Or, at least, slightly lifting her back from the mattress. "Okay."

"First, what did you see back there?"

Charlotte corrected her sitting posture on the bed as she recalled what happened in Islington Hall, careful not to aggravate the healing wound on her stomach.

"It happened when I was playing the piano on the stage. I was playing Erik Satie's Gnossienne No. 1 when I... I heard shots, two of them, coming from the upper boxes."

"It was from the duke and the prince's box." Ange filled in the gaps. "I spied on them. The assailant shot them both before..."

A gaze shared between the twin souls was enough to finish the rest of the sentences. Ange shut her eyes at the reminder.

A call of her name made her open them up.

After she opened her eyes and noticed the tiniest of nods from the Princess as a signal of permission, Ange came to sit on her bed, wanting to keep her close. In response, the Princess held her hand gently, squeezing it.

"That's when I stood up from the chair and turned around. I looked up towards the balcony, and... I saw a hooded figure aiming their gun right at me." Charlotte continued from her sitting position.

"Was it a male or a female?" Sherlock asked.

"I don't know. I didn't see their face. My first instinct was to try to run, but I slipped and fell. That's when I saw that my dress was stuck on the chair. Then..." Charlotte stopped for a moment to hold her shoulder as she recalled the pain of the bullet. "I felt the first bullet hitting my arm. The second one hit my stomach shortly after."

"The assailant deployed two smoke grenades before escaping through the window." Ange assisted. "They shattered it to make a quick escape."

After receiving the information from the twin souls, Sherlock paced around to process the data he had just received, placing a hand on his chin.

"Do you have an answer to this?" Dorothy asked, demanding a direct answer from the detective. "Any ideas?"

"Two, so far." He quickly replied while turning his head to look at her with equal speed.

"Two?"

"Two possible solutions to this crime, for now. The first solution is... difficult because it will, more likely than not, fit with most but not all of the facts, and if the second solution is correct, then this simple shooting case will turn out to be much more... complex."
