A wave of warmth rushed over me, and my body buzzed with excitement. A smile spread across my face.

"Is it a bit- I held my hair up and fanned myself. "Warm in here?"

Connie smirked. "Yeah, it is a bit warm in here."

"I thought so, although I don't remember it being so hot until now. How weird." My throat felt parched. "I want another, can I get another?"

"You downed the whole cup?" Axel asked.

"I guess so...?"

"Rookie maybe-"

"I'll pay. Oh... wait, I don't want to talk to those indecent barmaids. I mean, how ridiculous can they be? Short dress and chest hanging all out there! They must be freezing!" Axel snorted and looked at Connie. Connie glared at Axel and clenched her jaw.

"You guys are right; this stuff isn't that bad. It tastes funny, but it's not bad."

"I bet you can't handle a second beer." She smirked.

"What makes you think I can't? Order one for me right now and I'll prove to you I'm more that capable! I'll even pay for it!"

"With what krone?" Axel asked. I pondered that for a moment, he has a point.

"How about you pay? I don't have any Kroner at the moment. In fact, I'm pretty much broke. You can pay instead, you don't mind, do you?"

"No, of course he doesn't, go get her another drink."

"I don't have that much Krone on me, sorry." He shrugs.

"He thinks you're going to pass out or something." Connie rolled her eyes.

"You know what Connie, why don't you get the drinks I'm sure you remember how to prepare them." Her face turned red and her fists clenched. I feel so light and weird? Kind of like floating... "Rookie, how about some food?"

"But I'm not hungry, I want a drink from the giant wooden mug. That type of drink. Don't forget to ask for that, the drink with the wooden mug."

"Are you refusing to get her a drink because she's young?"

"No, I'm refusing because- "

"What is with the young thing? I'm seventeen... I think. I lost track of my age a long time ago, being sheltered and all. And how dare you! Just because I'm seven... or sixteen! How dare you do not take me seriously!"

"I do take you seriously, that's not-

"Then it's because he deems you incapable."

"No, that's not it at all, cut it out, Connie!"

"Well, where's my drink? Wait... did I ask you for a drink?... I think I did. No... yes... No... Yes! I did, didn't I, well where is it? and tell them to turn down the heat as well! It's far too hot in here!"

"Okay, how about we go outside to cool off?" Why is he talking to me like a child?

"Why should I move? It's their job to make us feel acquainted. Right? Isn't that what workers do?"

"Where did you hear that from?"

"From you, you told we have to make the costumers feel welcomed or whatever." He holds his head and groans.

"She's just buzzed, Axel. Calm down, it's a celebration after all."

"Would you quit being a spiteful bitch, she's just a kid. "

"A kid who wants a taste of the real world, she wants something more exciting than her old mundane life. And that's what she'll get." There she is! An indecent barmaid.
