You had so much weight on your back, and you just couldn't say no. To anybody. You needed someone to rant to. But no one was there. It hurt that everywhere you turned, somebody needed you, and you couldn't say no. But when you needed someone, where'd everyone go? It was just so much weight, and so much hurt packed into this slowly dying heart of yours. And one day, it all just came out when you started crying. Luckily, Gage found you. He was so confused and hurt by you crying, but he didn't know how to act on those emotions.

"(Y/n)," Gage began, sounding ultimately hurt. "What do I do?" In that moment, you hugged him tightly and began explaining everything through sobs and stutters; and even hiccups. After he heard it all, he just ended it by saying this. "You need to learn to say 'no' (Y/n)," He told you sweetly, combing your hair.

"But w-what if when I say 'no' it c-comes back to me by someone not helping me?" You asked through shaky breaths, Gage not bearing it anymore.

"You need to calm down," He tells you, making you faintly smile.

"Gage, I l-love you." His heart stopped when he heard the words, you trying to stop crying. You suddenly start laughing. "You've always b-been there for me, I j-just had to realize it. I love y-you so much Gage." You hugged his side, and eventually, he wanted to start crying happily as well. He held in his emotions and kissed your forehead.

"I love you too." He said, his heart racing. His heart sped like he wanted his records to. "I love you so much (Y/n), just know I'm here for you. And that when someone asks you something, you don't have to be scared to say 'no'."

"I won't." You let a sigh escape your lips as you look up, urging yourself not to kiss him. But in the heat of the moment, you did it. Your lips landed on his and he fell to the ground. The kiss was quick, but Gage enjoyed it as much as he did hanging out with you. "I love you. Thank you for being the b-best more-than-friend e-ever." You said with a small laugh. Through pain came joy, and this was one big joyful moment.
