You were going to a party with your friends Wyatt and Brandon. Now don't get me wrong, Wyatt and you were close. But more like siblings. You and Brandon were more of friends, you really liked Brandon too, you just kept it hidden. Only person who knew at this point was Wyatt.

"You gotta tell him tonight, (Y/n)," Wyatt suddenly catches you off guard while your staring at Brandon from afar. You spit out your drink onto the grass and shake your head immediately. "Come on! You've been hiding it forever!"

"Not yet!" You urged him to be quiet. "Now, I'm gonna go talk to my Brandon." Wyatt scoffed at your gaze, you barely realizing, turning red. "Brandon. Just Brandon. Whatever!"

"Brandon and (Y/n) sitting in a tree," Wyatt began, you blushing red at how loud he was being. You pushed his chest a little, making him spill his drink. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" He managed to get it out, you hiding your face.

"Shut up!" You pushed him again, Wyatt laughing at your short self. You made your way over to Brandon, who seemed confused.

"What was Wyatt doing this time?" Ah yes. Brandon was referring to the multiple times before this one moment that were just like this one. You shook your head.

"Shipping me with someone I don't even like!" You saw Wyatt toasting you from afar, you sticking your tongue out like a sassy little sister. "And he thinks he's figured it all out! Well he's so wrong!" Brandon wondered if you did like this person. He hoped this person was him. Who was he kidding, why would a girl like you go for a guy like him? It was hopeless. You felt the same way on your end. There was no use going after someone who didn't give one damn about love. It was truly hopeless.

By the time the night had come, Wyatt was drunk out of his mind, Brandon was sober, and you were half drunk. Wyatt stands up, liquor fresh on his breath, and says. "Hey! All of you! Guess what?" You roll your eyes at his antics, talking to Brandon a little more. "(Y/n) likes Brandon!" You stood up immediately, earning a gaze from Brandon, who was actually very happy.

"(Y/n), is that true?" Brandon asked, making you blush darker. Wyatt sent you a playful wink as he mouthed a "you're welcome."

"He's drunk, Brandon!" You told him, making him shake his head.

"He's my best friend," He began. "I know that when he's drunk, he tells the truth." Brandon then stood up beside you, took your hands and said. "Let's go over there." You blush, wondering what's about to happen as you follow him, sending Wyatt a glare. "Look (Y/n)-"

"I get it! You could care less about love and more about being smart," You blurted out, interrupting him. "To be honest, I'll only get in your way." Brandon furrowed his eyebrows sadly, shaking his head in disagreement.

"No, (Y/n), I was gonna say that I like you too." He muttered shyly, you blinking. "I've liked you for a long time, like, the moment I met you we just clicked kind of. As in, I don't usually get along with anybody, but with you, it was..."

"Different?" You suggested the dialogue, him nodding. "Well, I've liked you for a long time too Brandon. Like, a really long time." You step closer to him, feeling the tension between you two grow. You slowly leaned in and kissed him, him melting in suddenly.

"YEEHAW! GO (Y/N) AND BRANDON!" Wyatt called out, you two blushing when you saw the crowd watching you. You sent Wyatt a glare, one which he returned with, "Hey, you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me." You nodded promptly, thanking Wyatt internally. "Go ahead, keep on smooching." Wyatt teased, making Brandon and you turn darker red.

"Well," You looked at Brandon, who was immediate to scoop you up and dip you down into a bridestyle kiss. You enjoyed it to the fullest, melting in as soon as his lips touched yours. Thank the skies for Wyatt, and definitely thank the skies for Brandon.
