Chapter 5- add one

One year later

"Lizzy, I have a problem.", I said, not knowing what to think

"What problem.", Lizzy asked.

It was a warm Saturday in August. The end of August. I invited Lizzy over for a tea because Draco went out of town for a few days with his friends, Blaise and Theodore.

"It's late. My period.", I said, thinking it was obvious what I was talking about

"Relax, it's probably just late.", Lizzy said

"I... I took a pregnancy test, just in case.", I said, really carefully

"And?", Lizzy asked, suddenly more interested

"See for yourself.", I said handing her the test. It had a plus on it

"No way! Oh my God, Wynter! You're pregnant?! Have you told Draco yet. Are you ok? How have you been feeling lately? Dizzy? Have you thrown up? Did you see your gynecologist yet?" Lizzy started showering me with questions

"I know, I couldn't believe it either. I didn't tell Draco. I want him to find out in a special way. I'm feeling just fine. I've thrown up a couple of times here and there, you know, the usual. I have a gynecologist appointment tomorrow.", I managed to reply

"Let's call Hermione, Ginny and Luna over. They can help you plan out a cute way to tell him"

All three of the other girls were absolutely thrilled. All three already had children so they knew how I felt.

"Maybe you can make him figure it out by himself? You know, give him hints and see if he notices. If he doesn't then just casually mention it mid conversation.", Luna suggested

"I think I'll just mention it. It's not special but it would be better than a full dinner with candles and roses scented with mint and a pregnancy test wrapped nicely, with a bow of course.", I joked and everyone laughed

I had to wait two more days 'till Draco and his friends were back but it was worth it. When they came back, I insisted that he brings Theodore and Blaise to our place. Then I sent him to go get something. I took the chance and told the boys. They were in shock.

"Dang, I real baby? A human inside of you?", Blaise asked in shock

"Yes, Blaise, a real baby.", I replied sarcastically

"Please pray that they invent a spell that helps you painlessly deliver the baby because my wife screamed in labor. Apparently, it hurts.", Theodore said

-You're telling me.- Ginny, who had already had three children, said.

After Draco came back from the store, he sat down and the three boys started talking about what happened on their little field trip. Theodore and Blaise were a little distracted and Draco noticed.

"What's wrong with the two of you? You've been acting very weird ever since we came back. Did I miss something", he asked

"We're just tired, dude.", Blaise said

-Hey, Draco, as much as this trip sounds amusing to talk about, I need to ask you something.- I said, thinking it's a perfect opportunity

"Shoot.", Draco said smiling at me

"So, I think we need to rearrange the game room. We don't have a free room in the house and we need to find a place for the baby to be, am I right?", I asked, barely holding in the smile

"B... Baby? What baby? We don't have no baby? Did you buy it? You didn't go to the Nockturn alley, did you? I told you that place is dangerous and sketchy.", Draco said, to which everyone bursted out laughing

-I didn't buy it, dummy! We're having one.- I said

-Really?- Draco said really slowly, getting up from his chair and reaching for my hands

-Yeah. I'm pregnant!- I said, just as slowly and peacefully as he did, holding on to his hands tightly

-Oh my God! Oh my God! I'm literally speechless. Dear Lord thank you for this blessing. Wynter, I think this is the happiest I've ever been.- he said, nearly shouting now

Draco's pov

This is the best "welcome home" gift anyone has ever given me. I can't believe! Me and Wynter are having a baby! Oh my God! I can't speak. Like, I'm so happy for us.

I can already see that we will be the best parents in the universe. I already love that little angel even though I still haven't seen it. I know I will love the baby with my whole heart. I can see she will be an amazing person, just like her mom. I think she'll look like me. I have a feeling it's a girl. I'm literally so happy I... I can't even speak full sentences. If your have kids and you're a male, you'll understand. That moment when the wife announces the pregnancy, it's worth more than money can ever buy

"I know, me too.", I replied, crying happy tears

Draco hugged me tightly and then lift me up and spun me around. He was smiling the entire time. He ran out to the balcony and yelled at the top of his lungs:

"I'm going to be a dad! My wife is pregnant!"

He then ran back inside, sat back on the chair and showed his face into his palms. I could see that he was crying.

"I can't believe. I think that no one understands how happy I am at this moment. I need some Aspirin.", he said, also crying happy tears

"Relax, go lay down. We'll talk about everything when you recover from the shock.", I said, hugging him

"That's probably for the best. We're having a baby! Wooo!" he yelled and kissed me softly on the lips. He then went to the bedroom. He was asleep for four hours. By that time, I already told my parents

"Oh dear Lord, we have been blessed!", my mom said

"I cannot believe my little girl is having a baby!", my dad added

When Draco got up, I suggested that he tells his parents as well.

"Alright, but something tells me they ain't gonna be happy.", Draco said, still smiling

He contacted his parents through our fireplace because they, the classic Malfoys, refused to use technology. So Draco told them the news. Narcissa actually sounded happy:

"Oh, my boy! I am so happy for you. I hope you raise him to be a proper Malfoy", she said

Lucius on the other hand...

"She is having my grandchild. You best hope he doesn't inherit any of her blood or it will be another disgrace. The first was you marrying Wynilly in the first place. But, still it's my blood. I hope you raise him as good as I raised you.", he said

"It's Wynter, dad. Not Wynilly. And, with all due respect, Wynter is greater human being than you will ever be and if I raise this child the way you raised me, then I already feel sorry for the poor kid. Nothing against you, mom, you actually did a good job with parenting.", Draco said as smile was fading away. He ended the line

"Hey, don't let him bring you down. Enjoy! This is a precious moment.", I tried to encourage him

"He manages to ruin everything for me!"
